wonderful stay with friends great food and local restuarants
Pros:

loved the location and the general ambience of the hotel food was excellent and the property and pool were idylic

Cons:

there needs to a better and easier way to get a drink in the evening, there is no bar and very few staff in this role to check on guests needs, there is wonderful outdoor space but rarely checked to see if anyone needed anything, opportunity missed

All was good excluding service

Cons:

The château itself is beautiful and luxurious, but the attitude towards hotel guests was disappointing.

We were not informed in advance that lunch or dinner had to be pre-booked and that, without a reservation, we might not be able to eat at the hotel at all. After a six-hour drive, this was especially frustrating, as the château is in a remote location with few alternatives nearby.

Even when we managed to get food, the service was very slow. Restaurant guests were clearly prioritised, while we waited 10–15 minutes in the bar just to place an order. The next day, we were again refused lunch because the restaurant was fully booked.

For a hotel of this level and price, we expected staying guests to feel looked after, relaxed and welcome. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Pool ungepflegt und kein Service
Frühstücks Tische wurden während der Stunde unseres Frühstücks ringsum nicht abgeräumt, überall Unordnung, Angebot wurde spärlich nachgefüllt.
Dies wurde von uns bei der Rezeption bemängelt, keine adäquate Reaktion dort.
