Pros:

The rooms and bathrooms are dated and could use a refresh. Also the outdoor sitting areas were uncomfortable and do not match the grandeur of the castle. Staff was also lacking.

Lovely location with a beautiful château.

Cons:

Appeared to be short on staff. We had a lot of luggage and no assistance offered. The room had stains on the carpet, minifridge and phone all unplugged for some reason. We were recommended to their resturaunt. The desert was devine but the steak was about the worst I've had. Outdoor area and pool nice but no service so its kind of wasted. Felt we paid a lot and recieved little.

Uno Château da ricordare
Pros:

Meravigliosa struttura storica con incantevoli giardini e una bella piscina.staff sempre attento ed efficiente. Ottima pulizia dellla camera. Cucina del ristorante di buon livello…oltre le nostre aspettative.

Cons:

Il frigobar deve essere un po’ più fornito in stanza.

Not being able to get a table for dinner 2 out of 3 nights.
Not being able to get a drink due to lack of staff.
Being expected to pay Euro 50 for continental breakfast for 2. Ridiculous.

A really magical place
Pros:

We had a fantastic suite. Bed is really comfy. Both ourselves and our 2 dogs were made very welcome. Lovely walks in the woods.

Un beau cadre, mais pourrait s'améliorer dans les détails

La chambre était magnifique, très bien décorée! Elle était grande et agréable. On était ravi de voir les produits Penhaligon's dans la salle de bain, car c'est une marque qu'on utilise au quotidien. On a également beaucoup apprécié les extérieurs: le jardin fleuri et bien entretenu, la grande piscine calme et la forêt pour se promener. Notre chienne a très bien été accueillie.

Cons:

On ressent plus l'aspect hôtel que château, mais ça a l'avantage d'avoir une décoration + au goût du jour et un équipement moderne. Ca dépend vraiment de ce que vous recherchez.

Au restaurant, on était un peu surpris de devoir choisir entrée, plat, dessert dès qu'on arrive. On nous a informé qu'il n'était pas possible de commander le dessert après (même pour le plateau fromages apparement!). Dommage si on n'a plus faim ou si tout simplement, ce n'était pas à notre goût!

Dans notre chambre, il y avait des poils dans la baignoire. On nous a proposé de l'échanger, mais comme on ne restait qu'une nuit et qu'on a vu juste avant d'aller au restaurant, on n'avait pas envie de déplacer toutes nos affaires (dernier jour de vacances, donc valises chargées!). Une proposition a été faite, on ne peut pas le nier, mais j'aurais apprécié qu'on nous propose de supprimer le supplément chien vu que la chambre n'était pas bien nettoyée ou alors offrir les bouteilles d'eau au restaurant en compensation par exemple.
