Good location. Nearby the train station. Room size.
Very dated hotel. Worn out furniture and carpet. Very uncomfortable sagging mattress that needs to be replaced a long time ago. Breakfast was terrible, the food in the small hot food bar offered some varieties but only the hard boiled eggs and some cooked vegetables were good & freshly made, the rest tasted leftovers from previous night dinner, not fresh and not hot! Small selection of pastries & bread and they were hard and dry. Good tea and coffee though.
I booked this hotel because it was highly rated and next to the train station, booking.com showed that it had large rooms. The WiFi connection was good but you need the front desk staff to help log you in.
Since no AC, you have to open the windows. The noise from the street is overwhelming well into the night. I think the noise stopped about 4am. The room shows on-line as large, but the furniture is old and arranged in an odd way, so that the bed (which is immovable) goes diagonal and so does wood box which holds the fridge (also immovable). So, the layout of the furniture makes the room MUCH smaller. The hotel is old and the furniture is circa 1970. The front desk lost our luggage which we stored with them (they found it after my proactive efforts to help them solve THEIR problem). They were not even concerned. I think the front desk staff were hired based on youth and looks (young and pretty) not commitment to solving customer problems or providing service.
Great location and breakfast. Great staff. Needs a lobby.

Great central location and good size room.
Facade of hotel currently being renovated so we had no view out our window due to scaffolding.
Come no
Location was excellent for trains and all the tourist spots. Large room and staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Great to have the apples! Good cheaper food options close by.
Only negatives were the unfortunate timing of our visit with the maintenance of front of building. We could not see out of the window. Got caught a few times going out and finding it raining. Also the bedside light shades are too big and you knock them at night.
Very overpriced for a run down hotel. Stains on the floor. Great front counter staff and close to train station and attractions. Do your self a favour and stay somewhere else.
Lucern is amazing!
Close to attractions
Room was dated and stained. Outlook to back of hotel very ugly .
At check in was told our stay included breakfast - but we’re turned away the next morning saying it wasn’t. Was a bit embarrassing.
Breakfast: not bad but hot food needs attention. The location was excellent.
The breakfast varieties. Could include eggs done your way.
Good location and the room was comfortable.
We were misled by reception staff regarding there being a discount for multiple day parking in the adjacent station car park. it would have cost us c£200 to park there for three days so we moved our car after one day to another car park that was less conveniently located.
Location and Breakfast are good.
Shower is not good, sometime is cold water and suddenly hot.
