Groot, schoon, goede service. Perfecte locatie
It is very close to the train station and boat pier. It is very easy to make day trips around Luzern for anyone staying here
Great location by the train station/bus station/ferry port and close to Old Town prime sights. Nice rooms.
The bed was really hard for our taste.
Great location opposite railway station, metres from old town you can walk to everything. Breakfast good, staff helpful
The location is unbeatable!!
Run down. Not very clean. Noisy corridors. Doors slam every day.
I like the location very much, it is 3 minutes walking to the lake. The hotel has few parking spots, the staff allowed us to parking in the hotel, it is too convenient for us.
the AC was super strong. The kitchen was very helpful with a newborn. so much space. the bathroom was very nice and big shower. finally BEST location!! i will definitely be staying here again
Location
Rooms very small. On contrary bathroom very big.
Only location
Everything is old.
We stayed here for two night pre-river cruise. Great location right across the street from the train station. Easy walk to center of town. Room was nice.
We had a very good stay at Hotel Monopol Luzern. The location couldn’t be better—it’s just a 2-minute walk from the train station and the boat pier, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Lucerne.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and the hotel is very nice overall.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay thanks to the excellent location, comfortable room, and the convenience of being so close to the train station and the lake. We would definitely consider staying here again.
There were two things that could be improved. First, the air conditioning is centrally controlled by the hotel. I tend to sleep in a very cool room, and on most nights the room felt warmer than I would have liked.
Second, the bathtub is unusually high, making it difficult—and potentially dangerous—for children, older adults, or anyone with limited mobility to get in and out safely.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights across four rooms. Its best feature is the location — right next to Lucerne train station, with a McDonald's and Starbucks on the ground floor for convenience. However, that same location can be a bit of a nuisance on weekend nights, as street noise carried all the way up to the 6th floor on a Saturday.
To the hotel's credit, when we requested a room change from the 4th floor due to a smell issue, the front desk promptly upgraded us to a room on the 6th floor. The check-in process is quite tech-enabled, done entirely via an iPad, and even communicating with the front desk or housekeeping during your stay is done through an iPad in the room — it has the efficient, functional feel of a business hotel more than a boutique one, which worked well for our practical needs during the trip.
Access to a microwave on the 6th floor and an ice machine on the 1st floor was genuinely helpful, letting us eat in after long days of sightseeing. The hotel also kindly held onto our luggage after checkout on our last day, which made our departure much easier.
The breakfast spread was well laid out, and the staff were very helpful in providing gluten-free bread options.
Very friendly staff. The location could not be better.
The location of the property and the quad rooms are great.
The staff could benefit from providing a warmer and more welcoming customer experience.
