Perfecto. Even the all night thunderstorm was the wildest we've ever seen.
Pros:

The view was exquisite, the room was large,well appointed, and had an extra large deck overlooking Lake Como. The breakfasts were good, the staff more than wonderful. The restaurant attached was delicious.

Cons:

The location meant we had to walk about 500 metres to get a bus or ferry.
A small price to pay for the view. The hours of the restaurant didn't fit well with our schedule, but Italian restaurants are famous for late evening openings and closing one or two days a week.

Best Stay in Valmadrera, Lake Como
Pros:

What a lovely location and a family run Hotel, nothing was too much, our shower broke and it was handled so swiftly, we loved our room and when we come back someday will request that exact one, it was private and had a good view! We are so glad we chose to stay at this location , parking was easy and free. All in all we felt so at home.

We took the bus to Bellagio and back and to Varenna etc from there and was really easy from there as the ferry times is sometimes not ideal, we drove to Lecco and Lake Como and was very convenient location.

A family-run gem with an unforgettable view
Pros:

The view from Hotel Bellavista is simply stunning, and the hotel truly lives up to its name. Waking up to the lake every morning was one of the highlights of our trip. The area is calm and peaceful, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

What makes this place really special is the people. Carlo and Christina, the owners, are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the hotel feels more like a family home than a business. They spread joy wherever they go and create a lovely, relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.

The rooms are clean and well serviced, and free parking is available on site, which is a real plus in this area.

My one piece of advice: book a lake view room. It's a must, so don't go with any other option. The view is what turns a good stay into an unforgettable one.

Highly recommended!

Cons:

The only downside is breakfast. It's nice, but the options are fairly limited, so if you're staying for several days, it can start to feel repetitive. Still, it's a small thing given everything else.

Very nice place, terrific hosts and great location
Pros:

Location was wonderful in a quiet and relatively peaceful part of Lake Como, away from the touristy areas. Great accessibility to the lake via the ferry system, and very walkable during the day and at night.

Cons:

Hotel didn't have air conditioning, which I imagine is typical for hotels in this part of Northern Italy which probably doesn't usually experience the heat wave we encountered on our trip. At night our room, which had the balcony overlooking the lake, was open and a nice breeze came through, but during the day it was a bit hot (but obviously not caused by our wonderful hosts).
