La mauvaise insonorisation
Our experience was disappointing. When we arrived, we were not given the room we had booked. The room description on our reservation clearly listed certain features, but the room we received did not match them. We complained at the reception, but the staff were unable to give us an explanation or offer any solution.
In addition, the room was very small, with hardly any space for our luggage or to move around comfortably. Overall, the accommodation did not match what we had booked, which made our stay quite disappointing.

Camera piccolissima, era un continuo inciampare a causa della scala del letto a castello. In 3 non potevamo muoverci. Abbiamo dovuto dormire con la finestra aperta perché non c'era l'aria condizionata in camera, essendo in centro continue urla e rumori provenienti dalla strada fino alle 5 del mattino. Abbiamo dormito 2 ore in totale.
Location was great and central!
Unfortunately when I arrived, I had booked a 4 person room and they moved me to a 6 person room without really providing a reason beyond that another staff member had made a mistake. They offered me a free towel/free breakfast as a consolation but as those were unnecessary for me I was unable to avail of them. The room was very small for 6 people and extremely hot, only 1 fan available in the room (Which is why I booked a 4 person room in the first place). I understand it was someone else's mistake but given that I wasn't available to speak to a manager, I would've appreciated someone reaching out to me directly to clarify the situation. The staff on site were both really lovely and helpful otherwise.

Camas incómodas y cuando te movías hacían mucho ruido, habitaciones sin aire acondicionado y más que es verano. No repetiría jamás
La verdad, no me gustó nada!. Es muuuuy muuuuy INCOOOOMODO! Piezas muuy pequeñas para compartir con 3 personas mas. No tienen aire acondicionado, no tienen cocina común, no pude guardar comida. Las piezas ediondas!
Nada! INCOMODO! No se queden aaui. Piezas ediondas, sin aire acondicionado. Se escucha todo de las otras piezas, de la calle. No descansé nada. Solo me quería ir de ahí.

Si hace calor no vayas, no hay aire acondicionado ni ventiladores. Yo no aguante.
The staff were really kind and helpful. We were pleased to be able to store our bags (only €3 each - absolute bargain!). We had a comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom and bedding were all clean. The blackout curtains worked really well. The location is definitely central to the Grand Place.
Brussels. Sadly it's not what it was, and still a very expensive destination - obviously this is no fault of the hostel.
I'm pleased the hostel provided a shower mat, but there was no hand towel in the bathroom, and the shower didn't drain well which flooded the en suite. There were no surfaces in the room (for wash bag, phone, etc.). The hostel is tired and would benefit from refurbishment.
