Almost perfect
Pros:

Location and old style were great and in keeping with the old town. The main shopping street with its souvenirs and eateries were right at the rear entrance into one of the main squares. All very pretty. Beds super comfy and ac worked well.

Cons:

Thought we were offered a Mountain View but could not prove it. This was not provided. But to be fair it was an anniversary treat and they did leave a tiny bottle of champagne and two glasses. Could not get the coffee machine to work but that is probably just me.

Pros:

The Hotel room was spacious and well appointed. The Breafast Room was very pleasant with views over the river and city, with an excellent choice of food and the staff were courteous and friendly. Excellent Air Conditioning.

Cons:

Not aware of any Saunna or swimmimng pool facilites, and for an evenng meal the Cafe Aldstadt was too much of a cafe not a restarant.

Cons:

Our interactions with the staff were odd.
I had emailed and asked if we could park our car and leave our bags before checkin as we would be arriving early. A lovely guy told us that our room was probably ready early and if we went back to our car a valet would meet us. After waiting a few mins a staff member appeared who I thought was the valet. He told me we needed to go back in and finish checking in before they would park the car for us. Back at the counter a different staff member was confused about why we were trying to checkin and told us it was too early - we knew that - we just wanted to park and leave bags. After some confusion the car was finally parked and bags stored.
The next morning at breakfast I saw the waffle station had a sign saying ‘no self serve’ so I asked a staff member if I could please get a waffle. She told me to go for it. I pointed out the sign and said that it says no self serve and I have no idea how to use the machine. She shrugged and told me it wasn’t hard. After fumbling through and while waiting for it to be cooked another staff member appeared and scolded me for using the machine! I explained I was told to use it myself and she gave me a lecture about how other guests had being using it too and it’s making the machine dirty because I didn’t use the non stick spray.

A very Authentic Austrian experience.
Pros:

A lovely old hotel with friendly staff. The air conditioning was a godsend in a heatwave. Perfect location in the old town a bus ride from the train station.

Cons:

The shower was unusable. Set low on a wall and poured through a crack in the shower screen to drench the floor. An impossible situation. Probably due to the location of our room way up in the roof space. Would request a room on a lower floor.

Pros:

Really nice property in a good location.

Cons:

The staff were strange, one of them kept burping in our faces and the other seemed to be trying to pay somebody personal to their life in coins. We were sitting in our room one morning and somebody unlocked and opened the door without warning, quickly shutting it when realising we were in there. Bizarre experience, felt like there was dodgy dealings going on, most unusual for a Radisson and I wouldn’t go back.
