El entorno y el desayuno.
Incomodo y no son fieles a lo que dicen.
The awful part: Tiny, old rooms with no views, stained towels with someone else’s hair on them, minuscule bathrooms, beds with plastic headboards, a pool that’s a tiny puddle, and a manager who doesn’t speak English and couldn’t care less about solving anything. To top it off, when we came back from dinner the room reeked of rotten sewage; all they did was give us an air freshener, and the unbearable smell lingered for the rest of the stay. The pillows were ultra-thin, about 3 cm thick, and even though we asked for others, they never brought any. And in the middle of a heat wave, the air conditioning shut itself off in the middle of the night, both nights.
The only good thing: The medieval town it’s located in is beautiful, but that’s no credit to the hotel.
Summary: You’ll pay a fortune for filth, bad smells, poor service, and cramped space. A trap best avoided. And to the hotel: I’ve seen how you respond defensively to every bad review — save yourselves the trouble, because this place is indefensible.
We kregen een super upgrade en dat was natuurlijk erg fijn. De kamer was verder netjes en schoon en de bedden waren op zich prima. Het hotel ziet er mooi uit en het à la carte ontbijt was goed. Rond het zwembad waren kussens en fatboys aanwezig, al geven wij zelf de voorkeur aan gewone ligbedden.
De prijs en kwaliteit vonden wij niet in verhouding. Onze kamer rook sterk naar een oude open haard en brandlucht. De bedden bewogen erg mee als je partner zich omdraaide. Bij het zwembad was het niet erg schoon en de gewone ligbedden stonden vooral in de tuin, waar weinig zon kwam. Het grootste minpunt was de muziek bij het zwembad. Steeds dezelfde vijf pianonummers werden de hele middag herhaald. We hebben gevraagd of de muziek uit kon, maar dat kon (of wilde men) niet. Daardoor hebben we noodgedwongen met noise cancelling op gezeten en de andere dagen activiteiten geboekt om niet bij het zwembad te hoeven zitten. Ook was er geen toilet bij het zwembad, waardoor je naar de receptie of terug naar je kamer moest.

The hotel is beautiful. We booked at the last moment as a birthday trip for me. We had no idea how special the hotel is. It is not a conventional hotel in any respect but rather an amazing experience of living in a medieval village but with completely modern accommodations. The room was spacious and the bathroom incredible. The "pool" which is an Etruscan-age soaking pool, was stunning. The garden is really the Garden of Eden, as you will not believe how beautiful it is until you experience it. The village is quaint, lively and a joy to walk with the customary multiple churches that you find in a lot of Italian villages. Breakfast was just a minute away and had every choice you could imagine and the service was amongst the best we have ever experienced.
There is not really much to complain about, my toast was not as hot as I would have liked, but I have no doubt that if I mentioned it, it would have been taken care of! Also, it rained on our second day, but I am not sure that the hotel had any control over that!!
La struttura è in un borgo stupendo. L’idea dell’hotel diffuso valorizza ed arricchisce quello che è il corpo centrale dell’edificio. La zona all’aperto un vero e proprio Eden. La piscina è elegante e naturale. Accoglienza perfetta, personale gentile e disponibile. Colazione INCREDIBILE.
