Noisy and shabby but fine

Location is good, 5 min walk to veznicler metro and 5 min walk to T1 tram stop laleli university, 15 min walk from Yenkapi. Breakfast was also decent. It was fine to stay at, you get what you pay for.

Cons:

You don’t have to look very far to find parts of your hotel room that have never been cleaned ever. There were hairs in the sink on arrival and the vent in the bathroom is caked in dirt. A good a bit of noise in the evenings from nearby bars and restaurants. Curtains aren’t quite wide enough to fit the window. Lots of other areas are desperately lacking a clean and a bit of TLC.
When I took the mini-fridge plug out the whole socket came with it. Walls are paper thin, you can hear guests in other rooms talking and can hear every time they flush the toilet or turn on a tap. The only saving grace is there weren’t many other guests. Staff on reception aren’t that friendly, they ignore you every time you come in and out

I recently stayed at Hotel Maya, which is perfectly located for exploring the European side of Istanbul, especially the historic sites around Sultanahmet. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the 24-hour reception made check-in convenient after my arrival from the airport. However, there were several areas needing improvement. The room and furnishings felt dated, and upon arrival, I found the cleanliness lacking, with stains on the bathroom floor and chocolate on the carpet from previous guests. The cleaning staff were a significant concern. Despite breakfast being served from 7 to 10 AM, cleaning began noisily at around 8 AM, disrupting sleep. There were instances where the room was not cleaned at all, and on occasions when sheets were changed, the bed was not fully made. Additionally, I was left without toilet paper, and once received an opened bottle of shampoo. Over my nine-night stay, the glass in my room was never washed or replaced, raising hygiene concerns. On a positive note, the breakfast was varied and plentiful, though as someone lactose intolerant, I found the options limited due to the abundance of dairy.
Despite the cleaning issues, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Maya. The friendly staff, great location, and decent breakfast made for a pleasant experience, though I would recommend addressing the housekeeping concerns.

Отель на одну ночь.
Pros:

Очень чисто. Рядом метро. Отзывчивый персонал. Неплохой завтрак. В номере были бесплатная вода и сок. Удобные кровати. Неплохой интернет.

Cons:

Давно не было ремонта, отель уставший. Кондиционер был шумный и дул на кровать. Под окнами несколько ресторанов шумно до поздней ночи. Рядом нет нормальных продуктовых магазинов. Отвратительный растворимый кофе на завтрак. Очень плохая шумоизоляция.

Pros:

Персонал очень хороший. Отель расположен в отличном районе. В номере было чисто и каждый божий день убирали комнату.

Cons:

Телевизор совсем старый модель. Практически не могли смотреть. К завтраку нужно добавить кое-какие продукты, особенно зелен, сметана, творог и т.д., чтобы выглядел как завтрак. Кпятилник надо положить в номер , в верхних этажах очень часто пропадает интернет.
