Super Lage, schöne Zimmer, aber vielleicht etwas Optimierungsbedarf beim Personal
Pros:

Das ganz große Plus dieses Hotels ist seine Lage. Man ist wirklich nur wenige Minuten von der Kathedrale entfernt und die gesamte Umgebung ist wirklich schön.
Mein Zimmer, das über der Standard-Kategorie lag, war ebenfalls ansprechend - zwar nicht besonders groß, aber absolut ausreichend. Es war sogar Platz für eine kleine Couch im Raum, was ich sehr gut finde, wenn man möchte nicht immer auf dem Bett sitzen und oft sind die Stühle in den Zimmern alles andere als bequem. Laut Aussage beim Check-In sollte das Zimmer frisch renoviert sein. In diesem Fall würde ich aber nochmal ein Wörtchen mit den Handwerkern reden. Besonders schön fand ich den kleinen französischen Balkon, von dem aus man auf einen hübschen Vorplatz einer Kirche schaute. Dabei war die Schallisolierung super. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern bekam man vom Treiben draußen praktisch nichts mit. Ebenfalls tadellos war die Sauberkeit und das Bett fand ich extrem bequem.
Es ist zwar nur eine Kleinigkeit, aber sehr schön fand ich die Wasserspender mit aromatisiertem Wasser in der Lobby. Man konnte sich noch mal schnell ein Glas gönnen, bevor man sich auf den Weg in die Stadt machte oder wenn man von einer langen Tour zurück ins Hotel kam.

Cons:

Am meisten enttäuscht war ich tatsächlich von dem so hoch gelobten Frühstück. Es war jetzt nicht direkt schlecht, aber die Lobeshymnen anderer Bewertungen kann ich nicht unterschreiben. Auf meiner kleinen Rundreise durch Spanien habe ich in allen anderen Hotels, in denen ich übernachtet habe, besser gefrühstückt. Die Auswahl war in Ordnung, aber doch überschaubar. Eine Möglichkeit, frisch zubereitete Speisen zu bestellen, gab es nicht, oder es wurde mir nicht angeboten. Wenn man schon günstige Discounter-Marmelade anbietet (was vermutlich viele Hotels tun), sollte man sie nicht im Originalgras ans Buffet stellen. An einem Morgen war ich die zweite Person im Speisesaal und schon da war in einem Glas nicht mehr ausreichend Marmelade, um einen kompletten Toast zu bestreichen. So sollte man das Glas gar nicht erst hinstellen. Der Toaster machte fortwährend ein nervtötendes, quietschendes Geräusch, welches man vielleicht nicht mehr hört, wenn man 90 ist. Mir hat es aber den letzten Nerv geraubt.
Insgesamt war das Personal beim Frühstück null aufmerksam. Nach dem Checken der Zimmernummer war der Job für sie erledigt. Benutztes Geschirr wurde grundsätzlich nicht abgeräumt uns stapelte sich auf dem Tisch, während Angestellte einfach daran vorbei liefen. Die Beschäftigung mit dem eigenen Smartphone schien viel wichtiger zu sein - eine Unart, die leider immer mehr um sich greift.
Allgemein fand ich das Personal wenig aufmerksam. Auch wenn man an der Rezeption vorbei kam, gab es kaum mal eine freundliche Begrüßung oder eine Nachfrage, wie der Tag war oder etwas in der Art.
