Hotel Foscari Palace

We booked three nights in the hotel in June 2026, the hotel’s location is amazing right on the grand canal and next to a water bus stop so very easy to reach, it also has a traghetto (a public gondola service you can pay 2 € per person and only cash and cross the grad canal to the other side) station right outside the hotel
The breakfast was good but lacked an egg station where you can ask for an omelette or any other kind of eggs, but the breakfast tables are located just by the window with an amazing view of the grand canal so you can have breakfast with a great view, there are 3 tables located outside right on the canal but if you want to have breakfast there then you must pay extra, but after breakfast and throughout the day you can sit there and enjoy the views free, the staff were nice but not very smiley except a receptionist from Algeria who always smiled and was very nice, the room was big enough, and clean but a bit outdated, the water in the shower was weak, we had a room with no view (this was what we booked so we can’t complain) and Venice all and all was great and sightseeing was very easy because the water bus station was very close.

Good location, good breakfast, rooms are spacious.

Der Palazzo ist hervorragend, direkt am Canal Grande gelegen. Die hauseigene Anlegestelle hat ein paar Sitzplätze, an denen man in Ruhe den Trubel auf dem Wasser genießen kann. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist typisch venezianisch, sauber und gut klimatisiert. Beim Frühstück ist noch ein wenig Luft nach oben :) Insgesamt haben wir hier ein paar schöne Tage verbracht - gerne wieder.

Foscari Palace stood out for its amazing location right on the Grand Canal, where you can watch the boats glide past during breakfast or in the evenings. If you want to enjoy breakfast outside directly overlooking the canal, there’s an extra €10 charge, but the view makes it feel special. The hotel is extremely convenient, with vaporetto stops and even a gondola stop right outside, making it effortless to get around Venice. Despite being so central, it sits on a quiet little side street, just a minute from shops and restaurants. Inside, the hotel features beautiful traditional Venetian décor, with elegant paintings and classic details that give it real charm and character.
