The location
The charm of old new Orleans with a historic looking courtyard.
Half of the furniture surrounding the pool area was broken.
There was no way to black out the outside lights surrounding the courtyard from coming into our room. All night the motion sensor light near the swimming pool kept turning on and off. Horrible.
Great quick trip to Nola. Fri-Mon trip that we stayed here. There was confusion initially on the room we anticipated vs what Priceline booked (lesson learned) however, guest services made it right for us and we had a great stay. Only recommendation would be to allow key fob entry to parking lot after it’s locked at night.
The hotel was really nice. Our front desk person Jennifer was very nice and professional. We had a small mixup with the room reservation but she quickly took care of it. She took her time and showed us where to park the car as well as walked us to our room and explained how to unlock the doors.
The room overall was clean and comfortable. Fresh towels and soaps were at the ready. It was a wonderful stay for a staycation as a local and I look forward to staying here again in the future.
Visiting from the UK.
Great location, easy walk to everywhere. Staff were great and very helpful, shout out to Elaine and Jenifer.
Great air con relief to the heat, very comfortable beds.
Only tiny minus for me was the coffee and creamer. But that maybe just be a taste thing.
Would definitely recommend for a stay in NOLA.
Frenchman Street for us over Bourbon ;)
Thanks for a great stay.
Historic hotel with plenty of character and a relaxing courtyard although I didn’t takeadvantage of the pool
Friendly and helpful staff with a special shout out to Elaine and Jennifer
Great location mid way between Jackson Square and Bourbon Street.
Lots of choice of bars and restaurants
The balcony room with street view. The staff is a nice and helpful. Very walkable to main tourist area and feel safe to walk alone at the night, and quiet location, even the street side of balcony room. The regular room had a desk and chair and a little more extra space than my balcony room. The air conditioner is truly fantastic, I can able to change the temperature easily to setting not too cold 🥶 many hotel doesn’t have like this ( Auto, Heat,Cool, Drying, Fan) I wish all Hotels had this. The Bathroom is updated, a good water pressure and very clean. I believe the rooms also updated too. I really enjoy to staying this hotel for 4 nights. I’m so sure, I’ll return to stay The Chateau Hotel again, thank you your hospitality like NOLA.
I wish had a mini refrigerator.
This location is perfect for exploring all the French Quarter has to offer, and is just far enough from the true noise of Bourbon Street, but easy enough to get there (2 blocks or so). Staff is absolutely lovely, and Jennifer is a true gem! I’d consider this hotel historic, and you get all the charm that comes with that—beautiful courtyard, funky layout, no elevator and a little light on water pressure. We would 100% stay again as it was a lovely location for my husband and I, who have aged out of the Bourbon St. days!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming French Quarter hotel. We have stayed here several times before, and each visit reminds us why we continue to come back — and why we will continue booking our stays here in the future.
From the moment we arrived, Ms. Elaine at the front desk made us feel genuinely welcomed with her warm hospitality, kindness, and helpful recommendations. The rest of the staff were equally attentive and friendly throughout our visit, truly going above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
The hotel itself is full of classic French Quarter character and charm, with a beautiful courtyard that feels like a hidden oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms were nicely updated while still maintaining the historic, quaint atmosphere that makes New Orleans so special.
One of the best parts of this hotel is the location — tucked away on a quiet street, yet only steps from all the attractions, restaurants, music, and energy of the French Quarter. It was the perfect balance of convenience and relaxation.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for authentic French Quarter charm paired with exceptional hospitality.
The area of this hotel is sus, BUT if come to the door of the hotel it feels as if you've been transported back in time. The door and entrance takes you back to a time of elegance, as it was in the days when French quarter had their original inhabitants. The lobby has cozy vibes and a bar behind the reception (to start the party early). My room in particular had no windows but the room was enough for two people. Even without windows there was enough light and it was comfortable to sleep in. The room and bathrooms were very clean. We actually arrived earlier than checkout time as i have never heard of a 2pm check in, either way the reception employee was very understanding as he saw how exhausted we were. He helped us in to our room couple minutes early as the room was ready. We were so grateful. Overall, great stay, there is a great brunch place right next door. its always buzzing named The ruby slipper.
We absolutely loved staying at Chateau New Orleans! Perfect location in the French quarter. We wanted a balcony overlooking the street, and this was exactly what we wanted! Customer service was amazing!
Great location and room was clean and comfortable was a little noisy at night but got use to it after couple days would definitely come back
Very convenient location, friendly staff and clean rooms. My second stay here and if I come back to New Orleans I will make it my third stay.
We loved our stay here. The room was small, but clean and quaint. The price was reasonable, and the location couldn't be beat. The courtyard was beautiful! Elaine at the front desk was awesome! She was extreamly friendly & knowledgeable. She gave awesome recommendations for places to go, and was super helpful and accommodating when we decided to extend our stay an extra day. We will definitely stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
it is a beautiful and romantic place .we stayed here recently and comfortable
Stayed in the St. Philip’s Suite which had a full kitchen, two bedrooms and two full baths. If St Philip’s is too noisy then we just adjourned to the loft bedroom. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the mornings and a beer there in the evenings before heading out to Frenchman’s Street (10 min walk) for some late night music. The neighbor across the street will occasionally turn on his bubble machine r to make things even more interesting. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The met all of our expectations and got us everything we needed. The kitchen area and living space appeared to be newly renovated, with a new coffee maker. TVs in each room including the common area. Great location. Two blocks to Jackson Square. Jazzfest was a washout the first two days, but this place helped make up for it. Too bad we didn’t get to use their pool. Will definitely be back.
