Um ins Zimmer zu gelangen, muss man mit dem Koffer durch die Bar nach draußen gehen (es hat geregnet), um in den hinteren Bereich des Hotels (im Hinterhof bei Wäscherei und Entsorgung) zu gelangen. Dann den Koffer in den ersten Stock tragen. Fenster war direkt über der Lüftung der Küche, welche uns durch ihre Betriebslautstärke in der Nacht/am Morgen gestört hat. Ausblick auf die Mülltonnen. Reservierungspflicht fürs Frühstück (zufällig gelesen, keine Info von Personal und doch eher unüblich)

Bel hôtel à la décoration très jolie et au personnel très gentil et à l’écoute. La salle de restaurant est très belle, la localisation de l’hôtel est bonne, à 15min de Killarney en voiture.
Concernant le petit déjeuner : Les aliments sont bons mais il n’y a pas beaucoup de choix sur le buffet, en salé mais surtout en sucré. On ne peut commander qu’une assiette avec une petite portion d’un aliment (pancake, brioche, œufs…) et si on en souhaite encore (ce qui est logique au vu des maigres portions) il faut payer. Le chocolat chaud est en supplément de 4,5€. Tout cela est inadmissible lorsque l’on paie déjà 32€ pour un petit déjeuner !!
Petite déception sur la décoration de la chambre qui est très simple et légèrement fade, surtout lorsqu’on la compare à celle des intérieurs de l’hôtel.
The location was really near Carauntoohil - perfect for a hike up that mountain.
The roads are a little treacherous for walking from the hotel, but you just need a high vis jacket or vest.

Posizione incredibile a due passi dal Killarney National Park, senza il traffico della cittadina.

Lovely building setting and frontyard. Food was very good at the restaurant, at reasonable prices, compared to many restaurants during our trip. Personnel were attentive and very nice.
Our large room (double bed including a additional bed) was great. Make sure to make reservations on the restaurant, even if there are empty tables, it can still be fully booked!
The room itself was comfortable, clean and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. Unfortunately, the location of our particular room made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.
Our room was directly above the ventilation system of the hotel restaurant, with the window facing the kitchen exhaust outlet. The ventilation system was very loud, and there was a constant low humming noise that could still be heard with the window closed. When the window was open, the smell of the kitchen, particularly cooking oil, also came into the room, so unfortunately it was not really possible to keep the window open.
The ventilation became quiet at around 11 pm and started again at around 7 am, so the room was essentially peaceful for only those few hours during the night. I would therefore recommend asking for a room away from the restaurant ventilation if possible.
That said, the staff were extremely kind and understanding when we raised the issue. They clearly understood the problem and genuinely wanted to help, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and they were unable to offer us another room.
On a very positive note, the hotel restaurant itself was absolutely wonderful and the food was excellent.
Overall, we had a mixed experience: the room itself was very good, but the noise and kitchen smells from the ventilation system significantly affected our stay.
