Amazing location with beautiful views across lake. Great breakfast
Enjoyed the park-like estate surroundings. The history with the "Sound of Music" was a fun added feature. The breakfast is sumptuous and the palatial setting is spectacular.
Standard room is a bit basic and it matters if you face the courtyard, the road, or the lake/mountain view. It is a 20 minute walk into old center of Salzburg but I liked being outside of the tourist crowds

We were drawn to stay here because of the Sound of Music, and it was totally worth it! I cannot emphasize how gorgeous the views are! The property is a delightful retreat! The water and Mountain Views are restorative as you sit and enjoy a bite to eat or drink in peace. There’s even a fire pit by evening; I just wanted to stay out and enjoy being there.
Breakfast on the balcony was incredible and the staff service phenomenal! We did try out the mini golf next door (it was hard!) and I wish I had more time to visit the pool/waterpark but nice included vouchers with our stay.
I loved the treasures of memorabilia around the property and visiting the palace rooms and library. Again with more time would have just enjoyed sitting and reading a book with a view.
A wedding happened the day we arrived and what a delight it would be to return like the couple plans to and make this place a recurring visit ! Salzburg and this hotel will definitely make you want to stay!
We stayed in the annex and the room is basic so certainly there are cheaper options for a stay but you can’t beat the experience! Just wish I could have stayed longer!!
Also would be great to have a full scale restaurant option for longer stays. The cafe menu was limited. But we walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
We loved the history of the Palace including that portions of the Sound of Music were filmed here! We really enjoyed having breakfast in the stunning dining room and on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the gardens! We rode the complimentary bicycles around the lake for pretty views of the Palace from the other side. One night we had a relaxing dinner in the back gardens enjoying the view of the grounds and lake. We highly recommend this unique experience!
Preis/Leistung passen nicht zueinander. Um 8.30 Uhr um ein zusätzliches Kissen gebeten .. um 19.00 Uhr war keins da. Gummiabdichtung an der Dusche hängen nur so rum. Silikonarbeiten fragwürdig. Frühstück Standard.
Absolutely best staff and services. Best facilities. Best location and available to any point in the city.
Our room was a bit far from the elevator 🙃. I would prefferr a stronger light in the room.

De lokatie is echt schitterend, mooie eetzaal, zeer vriendelijk personeel bij het ontbijt.
