Location, ambience and staff. The quality of included breakfast was the best we have encountered.
A hotel that nice should have an expresso machine in the room as opposed to instant coffee sachets . While it was fantastic to see abundant insect life throughout the gardens, the wasps can be somewhat painful in the outdoor eating areas

A stunning hotel, situated at the incredibly picturesque lake in a peaceful setting. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are varied. The interiors and the surroundings are breathtaking – it is by far the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in. The rooms are comfortable and clean; I really appreciated the fact that there was also an electric kettle available.
The hotel is some distance from the centre of Salzburg (you need to take a bus or two to get there), but the beauty of the surroundings makes the journey well worth it! Tip: Apply in advance for a Guest Mobility Ticket, which allows you to travel around Salzburg for free.
Absolutely gorgeous. Incredible building and grounds. A very comfortable room which stayed relatively cool despite the heatwave we arrived during!
Breakfast is the highlight - a veritable feast, attentive staff bringing fresh coffee and juices as required and beyond beautiful views from the balcony (just make sure you arrive first thing to secure a spot!)
