Ideal for a short stay especially for a gig in Finsbury Park like us.
Pros:

Breakfast was included but we did not take advantage, the location was ideal for our event at Finsbury Park

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Pros:

Nothing!!! The photos used in the advertisement bear no resemblance to the actual condition of the accommodation, which was far below an acceptable standard. We were very close to finding another hotel, and the only reason we stayed was because we only needed somewhere to sleep after attending a concert in Finsbury Park. With no alternative accommodation available nearby at such short notice, we had little choice but to remain. Had there been another suitable option, we would have left immediately.

Cons:

Other than the location, this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was very tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. There was black mould in the shower, leaking taps, and stickers left all over the fridge. The TV didn’t even have an aerial connected, so it was unusable.
The curtains were dirty, and the windows were so filthy you could barely see out of them, suggesting they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The bath mats were nothing more than pieces of cut-up carpet thrown on the floor, and the top of the headboard felt greasy to the touch.
Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance were far below an acceptable standard. Aside from the convenient location, I cannot recommend staying here.

Great budget hotel cannot complain for the price but definitely not the cleanest or the nicest. Staff were lovely and would stay here again

Cons:

Needs renovating a little

Hot
Pros:

There wasn’t an awful lot to like about this hotel. The staff were nice, however it did seem quite deserted. Good location from Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Cons:

The room was absolutely boiling. There was a fan however it did not help much. Beds were really wobbly and one even slanted downwards at the head of the bed. Only supplied two hand towels. Shower was hard to work, but everything else worked fine.

The room was very expensive for how small it was.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly.

Cons:

The room was so small I could barely move, there was nothing to hang clothes on, no air conditioning, the small window I had overlooked the fire escape, where people went out to smoke and could see inside the room, and they didn't even come to change the sheets or make the bed

Thank god it was only for one night !!!!!!!
Pros:

The gentleman on reception was friendly and helpful. The towel and bedding were clean and fresh. Breakfast was a surprise, was expecting a continental breakfast but a small English breakfast was delivered to the room. The room had a fan which was a necessity that day and night.

Cons:

The hotel is no longer called The London Shelton Hotel. It is called The Harringay. I actually drove past it twice before speaking to the garage owner next door who informed me it had changed hands but was definitely the right place. I had booked a single room and I understood it had an ensuite shower room, The room was dirty and run down, paintwork was badly marked and dirty, the skirting boards were thick with dust, the carpet was old and looked like it had not been cleaned for years and the artificial sheep skin rug next to the bed was filthy. It was a very hot day so I drew back the curtains to find the bottom half of the window was a board and the glass on the top half was thick with pigeon faeces. I was able to open the window for fresh air
There was no ensuite !! the bathroom was on the other side of the corridor and this was to be shared with another guest. The bathroom was in a horrible decorative state, the sink needed updating and the shower tray was disgusting, was very badly stained and the grout in the tiles was stained brown, I showered in my flip flops so my feet would be clean. Had to shower as it was a 30 degree day and after travelling 6 hours to get there I needed to freshen up otherwise I would have given it a miss.
There is no dining room. hence breakfast was delivered to your room. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room, but the tea bags are just loose on a tray with the coffee etc not sealed named brand ones. There is also nowhere to get a cold drink in the hotel other than the tap water.
The whole hotel seemed run down and in need of a full refurbishment.

Pros:

Most staff behaved friendly.

Cons:

I never received the key to the room. Every staff came with new explanation abt it. I already mentioned things that need updating but you didn't seem to care so why bore now? I will never come back there.

Overpriced. Not safe. Wouldn’t recommend.
Pros:

It was near the park where the gig was.

Cons:

I paid nearly £200 for what was basically a store cupboard. It had a bed and nothing else.
Plus a random man just walked into my room at one point which, as a female, is horrifying. I don’t shower as it looked riddled and it was shared my everyone else. I think this place should be relabelled as a hostel.

Diabolical filthy property
Pros:

Absolutely filthy stains on the wall and filthy bathroom. Staff totally unbothered when complained, constant noise from the back of the room from a car garage. Carpets filthy and bathroom disgustingly filthy.

Cons:

How unclean it was, how many people were crammed in. The noise, staff not friendly and it was high cost!

DONT STAY HERE
Pros:

This hotel is awful. Horrendously unclean, run down, cannabis stench coming from the room next door, we were booked for 2 nights and left after 30 minutes. The ‘parking’ is 2 spaces on the pavement outside.

Cons:

Everything was awful. And despite not staying there, we were refused a refund.

Friendly staff, but that's about it.
Pros:

Really friendly staff who were happy to help

Cons:

Small room with a shared toilet/shower. Very expensive considering. Grime/stains on the radiator and walls. One single pillow which wasn't comfortable. Breakfast was a couple of cold sausages, cold beans, some ropey bacon and toast without butter.
