Pros:

We have just spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Blue Horizon. This family run property was everything we could have wished for. Perfect pool/snack bar area with a view to die for. Comfortable sunbeds, great food and drinks at reasonable prices. We usually head for the beach but didn't want to move from this idyllic location. The family go over and above to ensure you are enjoying your stay. We have rebooked for next year.

Cons:

I dont want these to sound like negative comments as we enjoyed our stay so much.The accommodation itself is clean but basic. Comfortable beds,rooms serviced every day by 2 lovely maids. Basic kitchen facilities but adequate enough to get by.The accommodation is accessed by a very steep hill which at our age,we found difficult . Its do able, if you take your time. We got a taxi once from the port which cost 10 euros.

Sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita da tutto.le immagini rispecchiano la realtà. Tutto lo staff sempre sorridente e disponibili.pulizie giornaliere ed accurate. Piscina comoda .vista mozzafiato e prezzo onestissimo. Stanza comoda. Posizione vicino la fermata e centro raggiungibile a piedi

Se sì vuole ammirare il panorama,godere di un bel freschetto e della tranquillità bisogna salire...salire...salire...la salita c e ma se si ha un mezzo o si risale.con il taxi si può fare.

Lovely relaxing stay at the end of a sailing holiday
Pros:

We loved everything about the property and would definitely recommend to anyone. The owners were so helpful and the views were wonderful. Very good value for money.

Cons:

As other reviewers have said it is up a steep hill but we always walked down to the town and normally taxied back-you can't have those views without being on a hill!

Pros:

Overall mine and my partner’s stay was a true success. They were able to facilitate an early check in, which was highly appreciated and beneficial. The room was incredibly spacious - with a massive bed, powerful air con, lots of storage and benefitted from daily cleaning and fresh towels. It truly feels like a safe space and all of the other couples were super friendly and welcoming. Massive shoutout to Sue and Steve, who were staying there for their 6th time.

We read a fair few views ahead of our stay, the only points we were cautious of were the shower attachment and the hill.

Very pleased to confirm that the shower exceeds expectations, with not only a handheld (which was attached) but a rainfall shower.

Yes - the hill is steep, but that is like the vast majority of the island. So no complaints at all, it takes less than 10 minutes to reach the town centre and the way back is not as bad as other reviews.

Cons:

The only point worth mentioning, is that we were on the ground floor and it meant that if we wanted privacy the blinds had to be kept shut. However this is the only, slight, negative! Made no issue to us.

Really great overall. Beautiful beaches easy to reach via bus.
Pros:

Fabulous views - strenuous walk up the hill. Had to use taxis most of the time to get up the hill. (10 euros each way)
Family run hotel - all very pleasant and helpful.
Lovely pool and bar area.
Large terrace on top floor bedroom

Cons:

No Fly screen in the main bedroom. Shelf in the shower area needed to put toiletries on. No tea towels. Bathroom door needed painting . Step down to shower area in bathroom a trip hazard.

It could have been better.
Pros:

The view from the reception over the city and the harbour was great.

Cons:

We did not realise when booking that the place is too high up a hill, which can be daunting on a hot day. The hotel can welcome their guests with some drinking water at least. Water from the tap is not drinkable in Skiathos based on the advice of local residents.
The room was on the top floor and gathered plenty of heat during the day as it was not shaded. The cooling system took hours to reduce the temperature when we got back to the room in the evening. The temperature was usually between 33-35 degrees.
The one time we had breakfast, it would have been better to decide otherwise and eat elsewhere.
The place needs better management.
