Approx 6 months ago booked a room with balcony which did cost us more than the other rooms. We got there yesterday and they gave us our room key and we went into our room. There's no balcony , so I went back to the desk with my email proof that I booked a balcony room and she said well there's guests staying in there long term so they just moved us into a nasty grotty back room and she said there was no difference in price... It was dark and horrible and it's not what I paid for, there was a difference in price and I paid more for the balcony room.
I said to her, why couldn't someone have called me to tell me that the room was changed and she said she was sorry and didn't notice til now. 🙃
She then said she'd refund me £20... She actually charged me £20. So I went back to the desk and she said, I know I charged you £20 , we've reversed it. I told them I don't want to stay there and I want a full refund, which granted they did... But only because someone else was having difficulties at desk , apparently he booked this date but in November instead so they happily refunded us to give to him .
Also, I quickly sat on the bed in there and I sunk into it so much, very cheap mattress, could feel springs.

Luckily, was able to book somewhere around the corner which is beautiful for half the price and with air con.

Staff antipático, casa de banho suja quando lá chegamos, não tivemos água quente durante os 4 dias que lá estivemos e não nos foi reembolsado nada, pouca disponibilidade para resolver o problema da água, quarto um pouco pequeno para 4 pessoas, o quarto onde ficamos foi o ultimo piso e fazia muito calor

Vi fick ingen städning av lägenheten. Kanske var det för att vi blev uppbytta till lägenhet istället för familjerummet? Men det hade varit trevligt om städning hade ingått 🙂

Vi saknade AC men det fanns en golvfläkt.

The heat, was not their fault.

We shared a wall with another room and could hear literally anything. Especially when they opened their door and it shook our own. Their door, our door, and the door to our rooms were all very close and difficult to maneuver with luggage.

The private bathroom was nice to have (though across the hall), but not very clean. Definitely some kind of mold in the shower. Our room itself also didn't feel very clean. My feet felt how the floor hadn't been well swept and there were marks and stains all over the walls. One side of the bed was very difficult to get to, up against the wall.

I am requesting a partial refund of £100. This hotel was one of the worst stays we have ever had and far below the reasonable standards of customer service.. We booked a 2 night stay but when we checked in on the first day the person behind the desk said there was an issue with creating a key card for our room. The person called someone else who said there was 'maintenance' being done to the double and twin rooms with en suite but they 'upgraded' us to family suite. We would also need to check out the next day and re checkin and move rooms. The 'upgrade' was far from it. The shower had no hot water. There was a red stain on one of the towels which looked like blood. The toilet was not cleaned properly and there excrement and urine stains on the toilet. We went to reception on day 2 approximately 9am and we asked if our room would be ready to move to and we were told no and that we would have to come back at 2pm and check in again. We expressed our disappointment and was met with a very unhelpful sorry with no help to resolve. The reason for the partial refund request is clear. We booked a 2 night stay and did not have full use of the room for at least 4 and a half hours. I have already left a google review of this subpar service. Please respond to this rquest within 7 working days. Many Thanks

There was a yeast smell in the room and some surfaces were dirty, and others stained or rusted.

No air conditioning just a desk fan in 30+ degree heat

It is a basic accommodation, perfect for resting before taking the train back to the south coast after a night out at a concert.
