Great room style, not on a busy street
No hot water throughout our stay, construction everywhere with a lot of dust.
On Our 4th aniverssary holiday, the hotel cancelled my booking 1 hr before I checked in!
They told me they will help us to find an alternative hotel but NO CALLS
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL IF YOU DONT WANT TO DESTROY YOUR HOLIDAY
El trato del personal
Por poner una pega, estaban de obras, pero no tuvimos ninguna molestia
Location is great. Staff were also really good. The building is lovely
We unfortunately had a a/c failure in our room which meant a very hot uncomfortable night in Granada summer. This wasn’t able to be rectified for our 2nd night so we had to move hotels. The staff were very accommodating allowing us a refund for our 2nd night and a discount on night 1.
These things happen, but it’s the staff and management response which is what matters and they were good
When it turned out that the airconditioning in the room was not working, and no other rooms were availalbe, the hotel staff helped us find another comparable hotel and helped us bring our luggage there.
The airconditioning in the "superior room" wasn't working at all. Someone had put a portable "sump-type" airco in the room, but that one was doing almost no cooling either. The airco clearly suffered from long-term lack of maintenance: very little air came out while the fan was making a lot of noise; to me that indicates a very clogged filter. While we could have solved that ourselves, what was worse was that the air coming out of it was warm. The settings were correct; this was also checked by the bellhop. I do not believe that the airco just happened to stop working between the time the room was cleaned and our arrival: obviously this must have been known to at least some of the staff. The presense of the portable airco also suggests that it was a known problem. We were therefore quite annoyed that they tried to give us a room with a known malfunctioning airco. Unfortunately the hotel was completely fully booked. The receptionist (another person than the one who checked us in and who had selected the room) was helpful in that she found us a room in a similar nearby hotel. She also arranged for a full refund. The hotel staff helped us carry the luggage to the other hotel. We liked our new hotel room much better: it was bigger and comfortable. It also was about 30% cheaper. We had selected the Casa 1800 hotel mainly because it was recommended in both the Lonely Planet and the Michelin guides. I do believe that such a strong list of recommendations was totally not warranted: it was expensive, cramped and, as described above, without a working airconditioner.
I loved everything about this place, the people working there, the elegance and space of our room, the location and the afternoon tea. I highly recommend it.
Very good breakfast with options to order egg items and other things. Rooms and building have old world vibe. But all was not perfect as there was lots of noise. Do not accept room number 1 next to the lobby because you will hear staff and people checking in through the evening.
There was construction or renovation noise in the mornings which disturbis our peace and quiet through our nreskfast. And room number 1 is horrible noisy.
Not really
The room was next to the door as its the guard room and its too small
Habitacio execelent
The building, the location right in the center, the polite and helpful personnel, the amazing suite no18
For me, all the little extra touches made this a place to remember: from the welcome drink, to the sublime afternoon tea, to the lovely breakfast spread in the morning. A really lovely experience in a great setting.
