Sehr enges Zimmer (allerdings typisch für Holland)

The rooms are barren and unacceptably small. They are run down. The value for the money was very poor.
The electricity went out on our 6 out of 7 night stay. Plus no wifi. We were on the 4 the floor. We are 70 and 68 years old.
The elevator obviously didn’t work. After several hours waiting for the electricity to come on which they promised would by 8 pm we decided to leave and found another hotel. The electricity didn’t come on until 2 am. They would not refund our charges for the 2 nights.
I had another room reserved there for family but they were on the first floor. The hotel told us they would charge half price for the one night. But they didn’t, they charged full price.

After several requests for a refund I am forced to write this review. Booking.com could not help.

The hotel needs major updating.

Πολύ μικρά, στενά δωμάτια

Run down old hotel.
For the price it’s not close to worth it.
The electricity was out all afternoon and until 2 am. The hotel said they would only charge half for that night but the then refused to refund that money.
They kept promising it would be on again soon but it wasn’t. No lights in the rooms and poor in reception. Luckily the room was on the first floor and ok to access- but completely dark.
The fact that the hotel made no accommodation for the 2 rooms we had - is unacceptable.
With all the choices in Amsterdam, I would not recommend choosing this hotel

Kellerzimmer, kein Tageslicht. Der Teppichboden extrem dreckig. Absolut überteuert, um nicht zu sagen eine Frechheit. So ein schlechtes Zimmer hatte ich noch nie, und ich war schon sehr oft, sehr einfach unterwegs.

A bottle of water in the room would have been great. Otherwise everything was fine and as expected.

Hot drink facilities in room

Rooms were very small - unable to open bathroom door fully. Desk was unnecessary - taking up valuable space. It was also dirty, with something spilt on it before our arrival.

Bathroom was okay - shower curtain had mold & no ventilation which caused everything to fog up very quickly.

no tiene desayuno, solo sirven café y manzanas. elegí una habitación con vistas al canal y era muy antigua

The smell is thick and musty. The carpets definitely need to be gone. The walls an carpet are badly stained & incredibly filthy/unsanitary. The smell was so bad it caused me to have an allergy and asthma attack.

It could also use some touch up paint & more to be done about the toilets having a strong odor.

Also, We had no electricity for my first 8 or so hours. I wasn’t able to charge my phone or use my room because it was so dark, then was unable to charge my devices or use them for anything in regard to my return trip. I ended up missing my flight & having to stay an extra day.

The hotel offered us a $50 credit, but never replied to my email, and I don’t see the credit pending.

Hele hoge prijs voor wat je krijgt, zelfs voor centrum Amsterdam. Onze kamer was klein en erg warm (hoewel het buiten niet echt warm was). We hebben het kleine raampje 2 dagen open laten staan, maar dat bracht geen verkoeling. Zeker mijden in de zomer. Vlekken op tapijt en beddengoed, lavabo was erg klein.
