A clean, basic room in an excellent location, marred by the absence of working wifi.
Pros:

An excellent location, with the main Mitte district landmarks within 15-20 minutes walking distance and nearby access to trams and trains.

Cons:

The lack of reliable, working wi-fi these days is unforgivable. I stayed for four nights and was able to access wi-fi for probably 10 minutes in total over that period. Having looked at other reviews, this has been on an ongoing issue for many months. Boosters are cheap and effective, and could easily be installed to overcome this issue.
The hallway lights were on the blink when I arrived and remained so throughout my stay. Again, something that could easily be fixed, but wasn't.

Charmantes Hotel, SAUBER, authentischer „shabby-chic“ - komme fix wieder!
Pros:

Bekam ein süßes Zimmer im Hinterhof, seeeehr ruhig. Early Check-in und late Checkout war kein Problem. Übersichtliches aber gutes Frühstück und das Personal war einfach sehr engagiert. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Excellent location
Pros:

Our room was in the building next door to the hotel reception. It's an old building, but the room was comfortable and the location was great for us, only a few minutes walk from the Brandenburg Gate, and the shops and food court at the rail & tram station. Breakfast was in the main hotel, which meant walking out of the main door, around 8 mtrs to the hotel reception, and then in to the reception area, no problem at all,
