The hotel is a restored former monastery in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful location with lovely walks down to a secluded river. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and don’t miss out on the excellent and good value dinner
You need a car or taxi to get to and from Santiago
The taxis were €22 each way, which the lovely staff kindly booked for us.
Incredible food, hospitality, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We felt relaxed from the second we checked in. We will be back!
Fantastic spot overlooking Pinhao and the Douro valley, Great room, almost like a small apartment with balcony, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge for your own bits. Our hosts were absolutely lovely, even with the language barrier, we didn't speak any |Portuguese fortunately the lady of the host spoke a bit so we managed to get by. She delivered a basket of fruit on the day of our arrival and gave us some jam and a bag of almonds when we left. The small swimming pool was a bonus as the weather was extremely hot. The drive down to Pinhao was an experience but worth it for a trip on the Douro. They also loved our little dog. Would certainly stay again. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, All home make and typically Portuguese served with a small glass of port, you won't need to eat again until evening.
The pillows and the mattress were a bit soft for us, but that is really personal preference.
Muito mau, parece assombrado, não ha funcionários, a Dona do hotel dona disto tudo como se apresentou é artogante, antipatica, só aparece alguém quando chegam clientes, foi tao mau que nem tivemos la uma hora viemos embora não dormimos, mas mesmo assim depois de dizermos que não tinham as condições que têm na Booking não nos devolveram o dinheiro, cobraram o total, na Booking dizia cancelamento grátis
Da localização, do aspeto da casa, falta de funcionamento, não infomam que foi um mosteiro, tudo muito assombroso, aspeto de assombrado, causa medo todono quadro e localização
