Pros:

I would thoroughly recommend Hotel Kastel for a comfortable stay in Split within walking distance of everything.
Pros:

The hotel is central to everything, within easy walking distance to all the sights of the Old Town of Split and ferry and bus ports.
The staff helped us with our luggage when we arrived which was much appreciated. The view from our window was amazing.

Cons:

The 4 flights of stairs to our apartment were hard but you have to expect that in these old cities and properties so not really a complaint, just an observation. The view from our window however made up for it!

Zentrale Lage und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr grosses Zimmer.

Cons:

Durch die Lage an der Promenade ist es sehr laut, aber das kann man sich im Voraus denken.

Mittendrin in Split. Gut geschlafen. Aber die Treppen...
Pros:

Die Lage ist natürlich perfekt. MIttendrin.
Das Zimmer war wie erwartet gut.
Das Personal extrem hilfsbereit

Cons:

Da dies ein historisches Gebäude ist, muss man viele, viele Treppe steigen.

Great and will recommend it!
Pros:

Location , cleanliness and friendly staff! We have to check out at 6:30 and they arrange their staff to help us carrying the luggage down the stairs. This place is CLEAN!

Cons:

Only the water tank location, tall people may need to watch out. Also, it may not have enough hot for 3 people continuously. We have to wait 20 min in between. However, the location and staff out weight these things.

Lovely location but I would choose elsewhere next time.
Pros:

Location was great and the people were friendly.

Cons:

There was a drain smell from our bathroom since we arrived. There was hoovering just past 10pm and midnight on 2 of the nights which kept us awake, didn’t sleep much throughout the stay.

Lovely hotel and area.

Loved location. Many restaurants and ocean close by.

Cons:

We didn't like the steps to get to hotel. You need to include that in description of hotel. Our knees were having trouble. Some people can't do that many steps.

Just fine for a short stay..
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location as only minutes from the waterfront and many restaurants. The staff were so helpful and friendly

Cons:

It is unfortunate that with such a great city position it is so very noisy at night outside the hotel....not the fault of the hotel, just inconsiderate visitors!
