Historical Florence
Pros:

We stayed in Florence for 3 nights at Hotel Berna. Centrally located to all sites, room was ample in space & very clean w/ great amenities. We were grateful they had a small elevator. Front Office Alina was extremely helpful & kind. She truly was a gem! Grazie!

Passt für 2-3 Nächte, vorallem als Zugreisende. Zweckmässige Zimmer.
Pros:

Gute Lage beim Bahnhof und in 5-15 Minuten ist trotzdem praktisch alles im Zentrum zu Fuss erreichbar.
Freundliches Personal, kleines aber nettes Frühstücksbuffet.

Cons:

Ziemlich viel Verkehr und Lärm von der Strasse. Wer wie wir gerne frische Luft hat (offene Fenster), sollte einen guten Schlaf haben. Betten nicht sehr unbequem mit billigen Schaumstoffkissen. Dusche ist eng und aus dem WC-Spühlkasten trat immer eine ziemlich unappetitliche Schmiere aus.
Schliesssystem mühsam – man muss ständig 3 Schlüssel (und allenfalls auch noch den vom Zimmersafe) rumschleppen.

My room window faces the side street. The window is not sound proof. It was super noisy due to street vehicles, people chats at late night, trash collection trucks worked very early in the morning

Pros:

This property was in the perfect location. It was close to the train station and was a great place to stay! We arrived at a time when the front desk was closed, but it was no problem - the instructions they sent to do a self check-in were very clear and it worked perfectly!

Great location but poor noise insulation.
Pros:

Excellent location. Close to the train station and walking distance to Duomo. Bed was comfy and the room was spacious. It also had air conditioning. The ladies at the reception were super friendly and spoke excellent English.

Cons:

The noise was horrible. My room was located facing the yard so every night I heard loud noise from I guess a restaurant. On top of that the voices from the reception were so loud it was impossible to sleep in the morning. Very poor noise insulation. And then there was the door buzzer which was drilling into my brain. The shower had a few hair here and there (which were not mine). Also there was no wardrobe only a bench where you can put your clothes.

Ideal location - excessive noise from reception

The member of staff I met on arrival was delightful - on departure the member of staff on duty failed to acknowledge me

Cons:

It was so noisy - the location was in the city centre, adjacent the rail station - there was minimal external noise, however, the level of conversation at the reception desk was so loud this did disturb me - on more than one occasion

Pros:

とにかくスタッフさんが素晴らしいです！毎日の清掃も行き届いていました。ベランダがあって風が気持ちよく、サンタマリアノヴェッラ教会が見えます。ウフィツィや大聖堂にも徒歩で行けてとても便利です。

Cons:

大きなマイナスはありませんが、エントランスに近い部屋だったので人の出入りが少し騒がしかったです。

Very convenient and functional, clean
Pros:

The location was awesome. It is right across the train station Santa Maria Novella. The building is clean and the room was small but clean. The bathroom was neat and clean and modern with plenty of hot water and towels. The window in the room can be opened to let in fresh air if the room gets hot. We did not need the air conditioning as the weather in April was pleasant.
Number of casual eating places around including McDonald's and Burger King- for those needing no surprises for breakfast etc.

Cons:

There was a little misunderstanding about Breakfast not being on our reservations, while we thought we had that option. However the property was gracious enough to include it for us on the same invoice.
