There is short term parking outside the hotel and a buzzer to contact reception. The owner came to let us in and then parked my car for me. The room was spacious, very clean, very well equipped with everything needed, especially in the kitchenette, The room in general was very quiet - just a few footsteps from the room above. The room had a nice balcony and great air conditioning. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've encountered in any hotel I've stayed in and the pillows and bedding were soft. Everything worked well. There's a kettle, coffee maker, microwave, full oven, fridge and freezer, pans etc. Some tea and coffee making supplies. The owner is absolutely fabulous, very helpful. There are a variety of food shops within very close walking distance and the downtown area is in walking distance. This is a place I would return to.
Nothing really. There are some homeless people on the streets, but then there are everywhere in Montreal, and I didn't feel unsafe at all. The keycard opens the main door as well as the hotel door.
L’emplacement proche de McGill et du Parc Jeanne Mance, et le directeur très sympathique !
L’Avenue du Parc n’est pas la meilleure de Montréal…
Rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Great location, walking distance to lots of attractions. The owner was very accommodating and friendly.
Location was awesome. Staff were so nice and accommodating. Room was beautiful and very comfortable.
Close to the metro station. Grocery store on the same block.
The neighborhood was a little more bohemian than I expected.
The owner, Turgay, is fantastic and can't do enough to help.
The location is great, just short walk to most sights and amenities. If you don't feel like walking there are a few metro stations very close by.
It looks a bit tired and could do with a refurb soon.
Although, for the cost, compared to other hotels in Montréal over an F1 Grand Prix weekend, it was much better value for money.
The beds were a bit soft, but okay.
Turgay the owner is extremely welcoming & helpful.
The location is great. It is close to a few metro stations, but we just walked in and out of the city.
We walked to the old town and downtown, each takes about 20mins.
A few doors down is a large Provigo supermarket which is very handy. There are also a few coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
The rooms were clean and tidy with massive TVs on the walls.
The beds were a bit soft, especially the fold out bed which our 14 year old slept on. It is probably not suitable for an adult.
The local area seemed a bit run down, but only a couple of streets away everything was clean and tidy and inkeeping with how we found the rest of Montreal.
At £426 GBP (790 CA$) per night for 5 people in a 2 bed apartment, it seemed quite pricey compared to other cities and hotels that we have stayed in, but it was the best value we could find during the F1 GP weekend.
We were able to bring our dogs. Staff was accommodating about late check out but we could not use due to inability to lock room door.
We were unaware of Parc Suites exact location when we booked. It was in a very sketchy area and we were concerned all night long (thus did not sleep) about our car being broken in to. Also, we could not lock the door unless we were inside the room. So, we could not leave the room unless one of us was in it. Bathroom also had dirty towels and hair in the shower/tub. DISGUSTING! Honestly, this goes down as one of the worst rooms we have stayed in a long time.
I liked Targay, the owner. He is very personable, funny, attentive, easily reachable.
I liked the set up, the little patio out back, everything was very clean.
I did not like that you had to run the water in the tub for ~4mins to get hot water elsewhere in the room. I did not like that the door to the room DID NOT close, let alone lock. Anyone could have went into our room (#8). We paid $425/night in May. I did not think it was good value for what we paid. I know it's an old building in the city and many upgrades had been done, but the door is biggest drawback for me. It was not secure at all while we were not in it.
The host and his team were absolutely lovely. The place is in the city where it’s 20 mins away from both old Montreal and Jean talon markets. Perfect middle ground.
The host (Turguay) and his staff were wonderfully friendly and hospitable. From the time of booking to checkout, we received excellent and timely service. Turguay went the extra mile to help us with all aspects of our stay, including parking and luggage storage. The place was impeccably clean and perfectly located for all of our walks around the city.
It wasn't a problem for us, but our room was on the top floor - so lots of stairs. Help was readily available to move bags, but people with mobility issues would be challenged.
