Lovely stay
Pros:

The staff was very friendly. The room is clean. It was really quiet at night! There is a TV with Netflix and cable channels.

Cons:

There is no fridge in a room or on the floor. But it was such a minor complain, doesn't change the fact – overall experience is amazing!

Zentral, sehr sauber, ruhig
Pros:

Das Zimmer: groß, hell, sehr sauber, ruhig.

Die Lage: zentral gelegenes und trotzdem ruhiges Viertel.
5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof und 2 Minuten zu einer der zentralen U-Bahn-Stationen.
10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Dom und ins Eigelstein-Viertel mit Kneipen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Das unerwartete Plus: Ein ruhiger, schattiger Innenhof zum Draußen sitzen.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in einem etwas urigen Haus
Pros:

In der Nacht war es sehr sehr leise, wir konnten mit offenem Fenster schlafen, das Fenster gibg zum Innenhof, von der Stadt hat man gar nichts gehört 😊

No-go during heatwaves
Pros:

The location is fabulous, being close to the Cologne Main Station.

The staff were very friendly.

It was also nice that there was cold water offered near the reception during daytime.

It was also nice to have a balcony with chairs.

Cons:

This hotel is a complete no-go during heatwaves/high temperatures in the summer. The building is not equipped with airconditioning, so windows in the hallways were open all day and night.
Other guests had their doors open, however me and my partner decided not to due to privacy. We could barely open the windows in our own room to let in some air, but we still had to have the curtains to cover our windows to avoid being seen by other guests from the balcony connected with two other hotel rooms.
Furthermore, the public toilets and bathrooms were decent, however the red bathroom me and my partner used was also quite hot, to the point that it’s basically a sauna. A thing I found strange was that the public toilet does not have a sink.
The hotel might be fine to stay in autumn, winter or spring, but in hot summer, absolutely not.
We stayed here in late June 2026.
