This is the perfect place to relax - the way one imagines it at home prior to a holiday. Lots of attention to nice details, a comfortable room, a beautiful garden,, very helpful and accomodating proprietors, good level of information prior to arrival. There is car parking, though the train station is just 10 minutes away on foot. Across the road is the Winstub de Manoir with excellent Alsation offerings in a lovely setting.
This has been our second time and Barr (worth a visit, not least for winetastings) is firmly on the map of places to go to when in need of stepping out of daily life.
