The biggest advantage of Adams Hotel is its excellent location. It is in the heart of Athens, within walking distance of the Acropolis, Plaka, restaurants, shops, and the metro. It is very convenient for sightseeing.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing. The entire property is outdated and would benefit from a complete refurbishment. The lift is old, the furniture is worn, the beds are basic, and the rooms feel neglected. Even small touches that guests expect nowadays were missing, such as complimentary bottled water in the room.
The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is in a beautiful area, within walking distance of the Acropolis, several restaurants, shops, and the metro, making it very convenient for exploring Athens.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing. The rooms are very basic and feel old. The lift is outdated, and apart from a bed, bedside table, and a small fridge, there are very few amenities. There was no complimentary water or snacks, and the breakfast was extremely limited and not worth paying for.
I also found the staff to be unfriendly and unhelpful. Before my stay, I asked to change my reservation to different dates because my son could no longer travel. I was told there was "no availability" for the dates I requested, so my request was refused, and I was charged the full cancellation fee. However, I later searched those exact dates online, found rooms available, booked a new reservation, and stayed at the hotel. This left me paying twice for what could have been a simple date change. I found this very disappointing and unfair.
The location is excellent, but my overall experience with both the hotel facilities and customer service means I would not choose to stay here again.
