I originally thought when I booked that I may be paying a little higher than necessary for a hotel in Saumur but I was wrong - this hotel was worth every cent! It was perfectly positioned just next to the old square and the owner was super-accommodating with parking our car each day.

The room (deluxe double) was spectacular with such an olde-world feel but with every convenience. It was considerately styled with a separate toilet/bathroom, magnifying mirror, plenty of other mirrors, a truly comfortable bed, several chairs, a great shower and a perfect view of the ancient church from the window.

There is even a lift for luggage.

Cons:

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like and I am quite fussy.

Ich war bereits öfters in diesem Hotel. Sehr freundlicher Empfang - nette Gespräche, leckerer Apero. Das Zimmer ist groß und liegt wunderbar. Das Frühstück ist nicht zu toppen. Hier kommt alles auf den Tisch, was man sich vorstellen kann! Genial!

Super Frühstück mit besten Zutaten.

Régis verstand es hervorragend durch seine freundliche, kommunikative und hilfsbereite Art uns ein Wohlgefühl zu vermitteln, dass wir selten in einem Hotel erlebt haben. Die Atmosphäre war stets familiär und außerordentlich entschleunigend.
Das mit Liebe zum Detail sowohl im Zimmer als auch in anderen Räumlichkeiten gestaltete Hotel und ein in jeder Beziehung fürsorglich serviertes und perfektes Frühstück runden dieses Gefühl ab.
Die Lage ist einfach perfekt. Wenn Saumur, dann für uns nur im Saint Pierre.
