Pros:

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in White Waters Hotel. We werden gastvrij ontvangen. De ligging was prima, op wandelafstand kon je gratis parkeren. Het ontbijt was lekker.

Quando non ti aspetti di vedere tutta Madeira sotto il tuo hotel...

La posizione è proprio centrale! Abbiamo avuto la fortuna/sfortuna di capire a Machico nella giornata del festival di Madeira dove cantava una celebrità: impossibile trovare un parcheggio, ma la signora della reception è stata deliziosa e ci ha aiutato tantissimo! Staff quindi superlativo! Visto il momento particolare, l'hotel dava ad ogni ospite dei tappa-orecchie: un pensiero gentilissimo!! La colazione, anche dolce, non male anche se nn tanto varia, giusto brioche e ciambellone, però buoni! Il fatto di avere il check in alle 12 ci ha permesso di andare al mare qualche ora: TOP!! Lo consigliamo vivamente!

Cons:

In stanza faceva un pò caldo, avevano messo anche un ventilatore ma in effetti dormire con la finestra aperta è stata la scelta vincente!

The worth stay ever

I worked hard all year to go on holiday and rest. I had a breakdown just before, so this trip mattered a lot to me.

I booked this hotel close to the beach in Machico to enjoy Madeira. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the week of a local festival — something I had no way of knowing when I booked. My room was directly in front of the stage and not soundproofed. The DJ played until 3am every night, making it impossible to sleep.

The issue wasn't that the festival existed. It's that the hotel knew certain rooms would be directly exposed to this level of noise and didn't warn guests before arrival. Had I known, I would simply have booked somewhere else.

When I raised this with the manager, she told me it was my responsibility to know about the festival and that the hotel "doesn't know what customers want." I found that response even more disappointing than the noise itself. I think it's reasonable to assume that someone paying over €100 a night expects to be able to sleep.

Hospitality isn't just about renting out rooms; it's also about showing consideration for your guests. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that happened here.

Falta de ar condiconado agravado pelas janelas não terem umnsistemaneficiwnte de impedir a entrada de calor, muito quente apesar do ventilador presente o que não era eficiente para arrefecer quarto.

Водночас ситуація під час сніданку трохи знизила бал. Отель зустрічає гостей з різних країн. Почули на свою адресу неприємне порівняння.На обличчі бармена та однієї з гостей за його зверненням до однієї з гостей щодо вибору продуктів на сніданок. Хочу зазначити культура їжі в різних країнах різна і не має осуджуватися або викликати подив персоналу. Як наслідок - неприємне почуття незрозумілого осуду, обговорення гостей недопустиме!!!
