Pleasantly surprised. Great location & hotel
Pros:

Our River View room had a lovely aspect over the Douro. Room was fine, well equipped and comfortable. As the weather was good we took advantage of the outdoor pool and even had drinks brought to the pool. If you look beyond the older style, décor etc it is a nice hotel. The restaurant on the top floor has a nice terrace also overlooking the river. The breakfast buffet was good and had a wide choice of items.

Cons:

Our room did not have a kettle. As a Brit I like to have tea available as well as coffee. The older style is perhaps not for everyone.

Internet não havia. Edredom numa noite quente, não havia meio termo, ou tapado ou destapado, falta um simples lençol. Uma zoada de um AC a trabalhar continuamente que de noite sao decibéis a mais, resultando numa noite mal dormida. Uma noite um pouco cara.

Si l’emplacement est pratique, une fois dans l’hôtel seul le petit-déjeuner fait illusion, mais ce n’est au demeurant pas très compliqué de servir du café et une petite tranche de jambon !

Cons:

... L’hôtel "Crisol Mierda Douro " est à banir :
- des installations plus que vieillissantes,
- un personnel transparent sinon inexistant,
- un bar vétuste à la bière chaude,
- un parking de seconde zone,
- une piscine certes propre mais peu engageante,
... et avec tout ça, les prix pratiqués sont exorbitants au vu de la prestation offerte. Des hôtel modernes en cœur de grande ville offrent des prestations éminemment supérieures pour des prix équivalents !
... À rénover totalement ou à détruire !
