Excellent value for money close to the medieval city in Carcassonne.
Pros:

The welcome we got was really good; warm, friendly, informative, helpful and funny! For the price we paid this hotel was really good. We actually forgot they had a swimming pool which was a nice addition. The gym was great, better equipped than other more expensive hotels. The food as served in the hotel for breakfast was just right.

Cons:

Whilst the breakfast food in the hotel was delicious, the layout of the breakfast room could use some improvement. It's a long single queue, so just one person waiting for eggs or toast holds up everyone. Breaking the service up into a few counters would definitely improve things, and there is certainly room.
We were on the first floor and there was lots of noise from surrounding rooms, curious because the hotel boasts the soundproofing of the bedrooms. But it didn’t detract from our stay.
