We did not like the room on the - so called - first floor (ground). The room was large and comfortable but it has windows looking right on the street with people walking in front of them. In the evening there is not much traffic but in the day there are many tourists and even groups stopping more or less in front of the room. Nothing that cannot be solved by closing the curtains but still we did lot like to have to choose between "exposed" or "locked in" so we asked to change the room and the staff was very helpful.
Some of the fittings are old and a bit tired but this did not bother us much.
In a nutshell I find it quite hard to express a single view on the hotel because our perception would depend on the room we were given.. A hotel where we would gladly come back (if the room is not on the ground floor) one which would not leave us with great memories otherwise. But it also very much depends on individual preferences I am sure there are plenty of people who just not care and stay happily on the ground floor also because the room as I said was very large and comfortable.
L'albergo ha una struttura con un'atmosfera calda e di altri tempi, situato in posizione centralissima a 2 passi dalla Cattedrale, ha anche un parcheggio interno per chi dovesse venire in auto. La nostra camera situata al 1° piano era silenziosissima, comoda e tutto sommato funzionale. Buona la colazione, ovviamente più salata che dolce.
