Cons:

The bathroom door closes much too hard, there was no conditioner, no toilet brush, the tiny mirror was rusted apart, and the stairs were slanted.

Probably ok 20 years ago
Pros:

Good location for central Glasgow.

Cons:

It looked ok when we parked (street parking only no hotel concession and it was pricey). Then we had to ring the bell and wait to be let it where upon we were greeted by a man with the warmth and charisma of Lurch from the Addams Family, check in continued with the same ambiance. The hall ways had automatic lighting so every door you walked through entering into the pitch black and had to do a little jig to get the lights to come on. In the hallways there was a strange underlying aroma of something (maybe vomit) which was probably a know issue as plugs ins were present. The room itself was small and past it's best and in need of redecoration though the carpet appeared clean, there was a new radiator and the headboard was ok - everything else dated and tatty. The bathroom was not clean: very grubby on the floor especially around the sink, broken up floor tile grout and extremely grubby (to the point of dirty/brown slimey goo) at the bottom of the doors of the shower and the sink didn't drain away. The bed - well now it was so soft and bouncy that every time my husband moved I nearly bounced into next week and vice versa. The linen was ok. I didnt dare to look at the duvet inside the cover but it felt "well used" and like it may well be full of other people's skin cells, the pillows were similar and I was unreasonably itchy all night though i cannot attribute the cause and would rather not think about it. Room was at the front of the hotel and there was quite a lot of street noise but it was hot and we had the window open so may have been better on a colder day. We didn't book breakfast because we weren't feeling especially brave. We were asked if everything was ok on departure but there was nothing to be done by then and frankly would you complain to Lurch? I think once it might have been a nice hotel but those days have long gone unfortunately.

Pros:

Location was perfect, windows to the Kelvingrove park. Room was quite, staff was friendly.

Cons:

Room was small, would appreciate a bit more space, it was hard for two of us just pass each other, not to mention sort our belongings.
