Disappointing stay, was really looking forward to staying here again after 8 years and chose it specifically. Recommend
Pros:

The beds were comfortable and warm. The view of the lake was right outside our window which was lovely. A couple of the staff were very welcoming and kind, especially the English lady who checked us in and the tall gentleman who helped with the breakfast service.

Cons:

It was so cold! There wasn’t any adequate heating when the weather was cold. You had to ask for a blanket and everything came at an additional price. 8 years ago I stayed here but in their main building which was warm and cosy, this time we were in their extended hotel across the road. It wasn’t comfortable at all. In addition to the cold, the bath/shower was difficult to use, and you froze while showering. There was no jug for a hot drink so had to go over the road and no small fridge for medication or self catering. The only thing provided was a bottle of water and some glasses. The breakfast was terrible as was the miserable blonde woman who worked there. Management really need to have a talk to some of their staff, this woman and a man who had no clue how to help anyone at the front desk. And so far from the main train station, best to take the train from Brienz West if staying here.

L’hôtel, la région, tout est bien.
Pros:

Délicieux le petit déjeuner.
Nous avons apprécié le séjour et les enfants étaient enchantés.

Cons:

Nous avons mangé au Löwen pour une somme de Fr. 630.-, dont env. Fr. 200.- pour le vin et les boissons. Un peu étonnant quand-même que Fr. 19.50 sont facturés en plus pour l’eau du robinet (Hahnenwasser!)….

Schone kamers in chalet, badkamer top, ontbijt heerlijk, personeel aardig!
Pros:

Ons gezin van vier kreeg twee kamers in het sfeervolle chalet achter het hotel. De kamers waren rustig gelegen, schoon en knus, badkamer top! Het ontbijt was heerlijk: vers brood, broodjes en croissants, kaas, eieren, warme en koude dranken, yoghurt... Binnen een minuut sta je aan de oever van de blauwgroene Brienzersee! Personeel was aardig! We komen hier graag weer een keer terug!

Cons:

Een waterkokertje voor koffie/thee op de kamer zou een fijne toevoeging (kunnen) zijn.

Overall, this was an amazing hotel, with great staff, food, and location for the price.
Pros:

View from my room was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was nice and I enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel.

Cons:

The restaurant plays music, including live music. While this is not necessary a problem, my room was located directly above the restaurant. They did stop music at about 11 PM. This was only a problem for my last night, as I needed to get up at 4 AM. I would say that there should be a warning that the room may not be the quietest. The room I had was a little small, but that was not an issue for me as I traveled alone, and only spent time in my room to sleep. However, there was a large balcony to spend time on with an amazing view.

Poor experience with dirty rooms that were not cleaned before our arrival . Spiders and dirty floors .
Cons:

The rooms had not been cleaned and there were many spiders in the rooms … with established webs . We had staff come to the room to take pictures and 2 of the 7 spiders were removed the following morning .

Ideale Lage für 2-3 Tage Aufenthalt und Ausflüge.
Pros:

Super Lage, grosses Zimmer, sehr nettes Personal.
Viele Ausflugziele in näherer Umgebung.
Wunderbare Aussicht und Brienzersee vor dem Hotel.

Cons:

Frühstück wäre schön mit mehr Brotauswahl.
Restaurant hat viele Fleischgerichte, leider kaum Gemüse und Salate.
