Close to centre of Dundee and ok for money.
Pros:

Staff were nice and friendly. Close to the centre of Dundee and other activities. I have stayed here a few years ago, and enjoyed my stay. Some relatives could not pick up or drop off outside the hotel, and had to park in a paying carpark down the road.

Cons:

I booked and paid in full several months before flying out from Australia, and asked for a walk-in shower and not one over a bath. On arrival I received a disabled room. Was not happy. No microwave, no fridge, very noisy outside and terrible view. Some nights noisy outside my room in the corridor with yelling and speaking loudly. Dinner menu was limited. Breakfast was good.

First Class Accommodation in a Perfect Location

The staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed us to stow our motorcycle gear prior to the check-in time, giving us a chance to change and see the attractions, The breakfast was excellent, and the bar service very welcome after a day sightseeing.

Cons:

Pros:

Always know what you're getting with Holiday Inn Express, layout, space, cleanliness, comfy bedroom with facilities, and very good choices for breakfast. It makes it overall comfortable and relaxing, and you're never left wondering what it will be like.

Cons:

Rang beforehand about parking and was directed to parking further away, thought Gelanty Street was having work. Contact details were through Booking.com! The guy at the desk didn't recognise the number.
Also, the following morning at breakfast, having tried three tables around me for salt and pepper, they were all empty. Very unusual.
It took me some time to get the attention of the woman who was chatting with a young colleague, to say to her about it, she checked some other tables who's salt were also empty, found one, puy my empty on that table, gave me the full one and went back to her conversation. I was expecting her to fill it up, but evidently, that wasn't her job that day! I didn't bother asking again for the pepper.
I have to say that this has never been the case before. Staff have always been very helpful and never made you feel you were interrupting their day before.
