A great way to isolate from Sydney chaos, literally!
Pros:

We really enjoyed Q Station very much over our weekend stay. The location is so beautiful in the national park. We didn't know how significant the area is for it's history and location. So the highlight to us were really walking around and exploring the grounds and the different precincts, Quarantine Beach, the museum and the wharf. You could really isolate yourself from the world here.

And the views! Sunrise and sunset there, stunning!

For the room, we find it to be super comfortable, clean, with all the amenities provided. We came at the end of autumn so the weather was perfect. I do think without air-conditioning, this area and the rooms may be too hot in the summer. The decor was basic but we really think the cool unique factor is staying in a place of such history. The staff at reception and the shuttles were very very friendly and enjoyed chatting with them.

We enjoyed staying in this side of Sydney, being able to explore Manly more. The National Park is beautiful and we did walks in the North Head, probably the best views of the Sydney skyline.

Cons:

We wished there are more shuttles to Manly during the weekend as we didn't want to use our car but we used the public buses, so that's all good. The cafe food at the wharf was just OK, its for the views not the food.

Nightmare
Pros:

Thanks to utterly feral and inconsiderate guests in an adjoining room I was kept awake ALL night while they partied/fought/wrestled/shouted/moved furniture/threw things around/conducted an exorcism !!!
Finally had to call hotel security just before 4am and they came and spoke with them around 4.30am after which it finally stopped
So I paid around $300 Aud for nothing, went home and straight to bed
Worst hotel experience I have ever had thanks to selfish ferals

Cons:

Dropped something next to the bed and looked under it...😳
