The location was very convenient and the room suited us very well.
Arranging the parking was a bit fussy as the DIVVY app only works if you have an Australian phone number .
Great location
A bit hard to find, address and hotel entrance should be the same
Great location for Melbourne city shopping and trams to get around. Was a very spacious room and had a full sofa, desk type bench as well as bed so easy to get comfortable.
Answered Yes re getting a quiet room, which it generally was. There were some noisy neighbours on the second night - going backwards and forwards between rooms, slamming doors, etc - but that wasn't the hotel's fault.
Staff was friendly excellent service location
All good
Great central location with excellent close access to public transport . Room clean , good size and well appointed ( nice walk in shower ) . Plethora of eating places within easy walk .
Good location.
Nothing
Its location
The senior staff were incredibly rude. Some mistake had happened and they’d given our room to somebody else. That’s fine, except they didn’t communicate it with us. Just left us standing in the lobby in the middle of the night (I was already ill due to chronic illness) while they ignored us and spoke to each other in whispers out the back. When they finally told us what the problem was they admitted the checked in person didn’t even seem to still be around. Seems they’d disappeared. At one point they suggested we find another hotel. Despite the fact that we had prepaid for our nights at this one.
They also continually blamed the problem on the younger kid working, and even at one point told me my booking didn’t exist. when I showed them the email we’d been sent from them earlier in the evening confirming that they’d received our notification that our flight was arriving late, it turned out the man stating the booking didn’t exist had in fact been the person communicating with us via email.
Eventually they decided it should be safe for us to use that room and let us in with freshly coded keycards.
They gave us a bottle of wine as an apology. And then lucky us, the wine had gone rancid.
The whole process had gone on for so long that no food places were still open. We had to figure out dinner from a local convenience store.
I haven’t ever given a negative review for anybody before, because I don’t believe in complaining. But this was an actual terrible night. We and the younger staff member were treated appallingly. The whole situation could’ve been completely different if we’d received polite and informative communication from the beginning.
Very well located
I loved the location which was central and close to transport, shopping, good eateries etc. My room was on the seventh floor and very quiet. The staff were very professional, polite, and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I turned the heating off as it was too hot. After that the temperature remained a pretty comfortable 20C.
It took me a while to find the entrance to the hotel as the stated street address is 323 Little Collins Street - which is actually empty premises up for lease. I was lucky to bump a local who advised me that the hotel entrance is actually down Equitable Lane which runs off Little Collins Street. I pointed this out at check-in. The hotel website gives the location as 323 Little Collins Street.
parking close to the hotel
