Pros:

The breakfast was good.

Cons:

The parking was not convenient and no security on exterior doors . Black mold in bathroom. Shower curtain completely rusted and needs replaced. The carpet needs replaced or deep cleaned. The rooms need some attention.

Comfortable room but breakfast was poor.
Pros:

Large room with a balcony & great view.

Cons:

Breakfast was awful - no juice at all and no bread for toast. We ended up going out for breakfast even though it was included in our room price.
Poor security as anyone could walk in through all side doors as no key required.
Lack of staff - large queue at check in.
The walk into town was down a steep hill.

Our stay was very disappointing.

Cons:

The room wasn’t anything we expected. We were expecting a room that would fit my needs. I was told there would be a walk in shower and chair to sit in because I am handicapped. None of that was in our room. I never would have booked that place knowing that what I was told wasn’t there. Also elevator wasn’t working so we were stuck on the first floor. Very disappointed with Booking .com. When I was promised something and they emailed me and said everything was taken care of was a lie on their part. I would not recommend booking.com to anyone.

WORST hotel we’ve ever stayed at
Pros:

Great location, only about 10 minutes from Mount Rushmore. The breakfast was also very good, with plenty of protein options (eggs and sausages), as well as delicious oatmeal, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee, and juice.

Cons:

We were given a dog-friendly room on the first floor, which was not only “dog-friendly” but felt more like a dog-abusing room. Allowing guests to stay with large dogs in a room with less than 3 feet of usable space is simply NOT OK. You cannot see from the photos just how tiny these rooms are. They are absolutely not designed to accommodate 2 adults and a child or 2 adults and a dog comfortably.

The entire hotel property has only a tiny strip of grass behind the building, which is being used almost like a dumpster for cleaning liquids, hoses, and random equipment. Once again, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A DOG-FRIENDLY PLACE.

The room itself was filthy. Everything in the bathroom was worn and rusted, and the carpet was sticky and covered in stains. You can definitely tell that they only do a quick surface-level cleanup between guests and pay absolutely no attention to the details. We even found someone’s used socks behind the bed.

On top of that, the room smelled strongly of mold, mildew, and chemicals that seemed to be used to cover up the awful odor.

And the cherry on top: our $200 room had a direct view of the dog poop station.
