Pros:

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The position is excellent. The full english is very good. The decor is a bit tired but it adds to the charm. It has no car park belonging to the hotel and cost £12 a day to park in a public space if you can find one.

Cons:

No car park.

De liggen nog aan het strand.

Cons:

Hygiëne tapijten kamers was niet goed, oud en vuil, kamer was stoffig en gaf allergische reacties door huisstofmijt. Houten tafels en vloeren in restaurant plakten. De stoelen in het restaurant waren niet aan te schuiven want poten plakten aan de vloer.
Het ontbijtbuffet was zeer karig wat betreft broodbeleg: geen kaas of ham, alleen jam, croissants waren er enkele en werden niet aangevuld. Yoghurt was zondagochtend op, werd niet geleverd en ook maandags was er nog geen yoghurt.
Van de kaart kon je volop bestellen, full breakfast met eieren, gebakken, scrambled eggs enz prima, maar zonder kaas, wel met beacon, gerookte zalm enz.

Absolut tolles Wochenende in einem wunderschönen Zimmer!
Pros:

Die Zimmer waren hervorragend! Mit direktem Meerblick! Außergewöhnlicher Ausstattung (Badewanne direkt am Fenster!). Die Lage - besser geht nicht!! Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie dort und hatten die 3 Zimmer zum Strand. Uns wurde am ersten Morgen das Frühstück auf dem Balkon serviert, was echt toll war, da die Balkone auch miteinander verbunden waren! An unserem zweiten Morgen haben wir im Restaurant das Frühstück gehabt. Es war mehr Auswahl als auf unserem Balkon, was wir aber nicht als negativ empfunden haben!!!

Cons:

Und hat leider die Sauberkeit im Restaurant nicht so gut gefallen. Da es im Restaurant ein starkes Tagesgeschäft gab, wurde hier leider die Tische und darunter nicht sauber gemacht. Wir mussten das Personal darauf aufmerksam machen!

Great Location
Pros:

Can only reinforce the majority of reviews, great place to stay right on the beach in the heart of the town.
My only criticism is that our room whilst clean and habitable was looking a little tired and in need of some TLC

Der ideale Anlaufpunkt nahe Dover mit Stranderlebnis vor der Tür auf der Rückreise von der UK-Tour.

Unkomplizierte Buchung und ein sehr freundliches Personal. Campervan-geeigneter Parkplatz direkt am Hotel, der mit der RingGo-App bezahlt werden kann.

Cons:

Eine kleine Klimaanlage im Zimmer „Captain Parker“ wäre gut. Bei sommerlichen Temperaturen heizen sich die Räume unglaublich auf, sodass man nachts nur sehr schwer schlafen kann. Die bereitgestellten Raumlüfter reichen nicht aus.

Really impressed with the new menu options
Pros:

Visited the Royal Hotel for the first time since Valentine’s Day.
Whilst our previous visit was during the day, this time it was early evening and the first time since the Royal kitchen refurbishment.
I have to say my wife and I were very impressed by the menu options available.
The food was delicious and lovely & hot. We thought the food quality had improved and really liked the new menu.
The desserts were really tasty and of a really high standard. Beautifully prepared.
The Royal certainly seems to have upped its game on the food front and would definitely recommend.

Superb - lovely hotel right on the beach
Pros:

Very modern, spacious, extremely clean family room with double bed and 2 single beds - pet friendly. Comfy beds, plenty of room, good tea/coffee selection. Huge bathroom with 2 sinks and bath/shower. Hotel is right on the beach - super breakfast - we loved it!

Cons:

One small thing - shower over bath was a mixer shower so you have to get the temp right yourself, and the shower itself ran very slow. Do not let this one small thing put you off still gave this hotel a 9 outa 10

Very enjoyable stay in a comfortable, friendly hotel in an excellent location!
Pros:

Excellent location, beautiful spot on the seafront. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. The breakfast was really lovely. We were blessed with wonderful weather so had our breakfast out on the terrace. All the staff we came across were really nice and helpful. The rooms were comfy. It is a nice, old-fashioned hotel. Would definitely return.
