Luxury seaside retreat
Pros:

The location of the hotel is great for exploring Tankerton Beach. The room is comfortable although a bit small for 3 of us. I think this is more a couple retreat type hotel. The coffee, tea and biscuits provided in the room is very nice. Breakfast is great with a buffet spread plus dishes from the menu. The hotel has a popular restaurant but we didn't have the chance to try. The hotel has free parking but the space is limited, parking on the street in front of the hotel is free.

Cons:

When we booked, I chose a specific configuration of the family rooms which suited us better (it seemed possible at the booking.com site). When I checked in I was given a different one. Upon query I was told that they were unable to guarantee the room type and they have brought this up with booking.com but was unable to change the options offered. So just know that when booking.

Generally a great stay with room for a little improvement.
Pros:

The Marine is generally a lovely stay in a fantastic location. If you get a seaview room, leaving the windows open all night and hearing the waves lapping against the shore is just divine! And an early morning walk is to die for! This is the reason we stay here.

Cons:

Standards seemed to have slipped a little since we last stayed, the room walls could do with a little paint touch up, shower controls are very stiff and the mattress just felt very "used" and tired which didn't make for a particularly comfortable night. The English breakfast could do with a little more TLC, no one likes undercooked bacon. If you're paying £245 for a night (which we did) you expect things to match the price.

Very enjoyable stay, good service, good food and menu and a good location
Pros:

Very good menu with good well presented food. Good and happy service from staff member's.
Good restaurant arrangement and design. Good idea having a thermos flask for milk for tea making in the room.

Cons:

Decoration of room a little tired, chipped and scratched paintwork and the furniture.
Shaving mirror in the bathroom partially removed and not replaced. Shower mat discoloured/aged.
More towel hanging elements in bathroom would be helpful.

Welcoming, charming hotel with lovely staff, great breakfast and sea views.
Pros:

Friendly, welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and lovely helpful staff. We loved being so close to the beach with wonderful views out to sea. Good size room (even though we weren’t in a balcony room) Good breakfast.

Cons:

Feedback for the hotel - not a complaint!
The decor, especially the carpets going up to the rooms could really do with an uplift. The main downstairs areas are fine decoratively but going upstairs to the second floor reminded us we were in a pub hotel with flaky paintwork and tired looking carpet.
The shower in the bath in our room was very difficult to operate despite carefully following the instructions. It was impossible to turn it on without getting immediately soaked and before being able to adjust the temperature - and soaking the floor! I would have liked more comfortable pillows. They were a bit hard, flat and lumpy.

Perfect for the Oyster Festival
Pros:

Beautiful property - sea view room was lovely
Breakfast room was a really nice atmosphere and setting
Pasty - they served at breakfast with the fried egg brooch, was superb. Friendly, informative- excellent customer service
