Expected a typical seaside hotel but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and the staff. We had a room with sea view and balcony with very good air conditioning, the outside area was great for drinks and the breakfast was lovely. Easy walk into Whitstable or about £5 by Uber.
Nothing to dislike
All restaurant food., good, room cleaned, staff very polite
Nothing
The location is amazing
The staff are incredible— pasty at breakfast was lovely x
The room was amazing with a sea view and balcony
Nothing at all !!
Lovely hotel right on the seafront, modern decor, friendly, helpful staff.
Nothing much
Fantastic welcome, lovely staff and super clean room *air con in the bedroom was a god-send as it was over 34 degrees outside!* Only downside being a tiny car park which was full over the 2 days we stayed and the spaces outside the front of the hotel on the road being unavailable due to the amount of people parking for the beach - found Tankerton car park just a 7 min walk away which is 24 hours and exceptionally cheap (£1.80 between 10am and 4pm and free all other hours)
Everything was fantastic - no complaints or issues
Pleasant stay all staff were great food was good
Can't say there was nothing to complain about
A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The air con was very welcome!
All perfect!
Location on the seafront
Rooms need updating
The room and bathroom were nicely decorated.
The views were amazing
Attention to detail
Cleanliness: (cobwebs around balcony railings. Peddle on bathroom bin icky.
Carpet on stairs a little unclean looking (like sticky pub carpet)
- Balcony chairs were placed haphazardly not placed together or with the table - we rearranged.
- Breakfast was lack lustre and felt mean: 1. Did not like using a coffee machine (at the price we paid I’d like my coffee made freshly and for me) 2. Full English felt mean ( not the amount but the quality) and not very appetising - ie: baked beans were tasteless and did not look appetising - same for mushrooms (quite wet) etc 3. I would never choose streaky bacon - oily fatty and less bacon. 4. Bread was low quality - toast was chewy. And butter was allowance mean.
5. I like to have yoghurt and fruit and croissants etc offered as a buffet option - as well as any cooked food ordered. 6. Poached eggs were perfect.
Sleep: 1. found the bed quite hard. 2. Nice bed linen 3. There was a group of people under our window sat at the table talking and laughing loudly until gone 12am - which kept us awake - It would have been nice if a member of staff had moved them jn or asked them to be quiet as customers were sleeping. Even with the balcony doors closed they kept us awake.
Room extras: 1. We didn’t have a phone in our room to call reception to ask about the noise. 2. I think a box of tissues in the room would have been a nice inexpensive touch. 3. A couple of biscuits with tea making facilities would have been nice. 4. Two pairs of hotel (inexpensive) slippers would have been nice - for a £260 room.
- although the coffee pods were a nice touch - I just feel there could have been a couple of extras like this I the room for the price we paid.
Leaving the room - a whole bunch of (male) cleaners had collected outside in the hallway, waiting to clean the room. I didn’t like being watched, seen or noticed leaving the room.
The air Con. was very much appreciated - but we had not controls left for us to control it.
Excellent choice for breakfast very tasty
