The location
The helpful staff
The cleanliness
The rooms are soundproofed but as it’s an old building there was quite a lot of noise from the room above which did disturb our sleep. The shower could also have been better.
Excellent location for visiting Edinburgh.
The rooms are comfortable, and the catering services are pretty good in terms of quality and variety.
The staff are very attentive and friendly. I would particularly like to highlight Albert, who gave us some great tips about the city.
The location was perfect.

Everything! Staff was wonderful—very helpful .
This is a lovely hotel that has been converted from a church (I believe) in walking distance from old town Edinburgh and the Grassmarket. They operate a lovely restaurant and a small, intimate bar. The rooms are reasonable in size and well appointed. Since I had made them aware we were celebrating a special occasion, they provided us a bottle of wine in the room upon arrival. A great location in the Old Town and very nearby the University with its beautiful green.
Charmant confortable et bien situé.
La taille de la chambre un peu petite
A truly lovely hotel in a great area for the old town. Let down slightly by the pretty awful breakfast, which went uneaten as it was mostly stone cold. No staff came near to enquire, so no opportunity to complain or ask for a hot meal. Ladies on reception were really nice, professional and helpful.
Excellent staff member at check-in. Upgraded our room on arrival.

I booked this room for my parents, and they said it was an amazing hotel. The room was very clean and spacious, and the location is great. They absolutely loved the breakfast, and my mother said it was the most comfortable hotel bed she had ever slept in. They also really appreciated the staff, especially mentioning Khyati from reception who was extremely friendly and accomodating and who took excellent care of them throughout their stay, always ready to go the extra mile to make their time at the hotel as comfortable and memorable as possible.
Nothing to complain about!
