Very comfortable and welcoming hotel in a great location
Pros:

This was our second stay at the Pennington and it was just as good as we remembered. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food at breakfast and dinner is good. There is also a comfortable bar area and outdoor seating too. We like Ravenglass with its wide views of the estuaries and a Roman bath house. The Ravenglass and Eskdale railway is a 'must' to enjoy - the station is not far from the hotel, the train trip is amazing and there are beautiful walks in Eskdale.

Cons:

Nothing

Pros:

A very nice hotel with excellent staff. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was tasty. Ravenglass is an excellent base from which to explore the Cumbria coast and the Western part of thd Lake District. The Eskdale railway is a stone's throw ftom the hotel.

Wonderful location but pricey overnight stay
Pros:

Location is excellent if you want to take the Ravenglass train or explore along the coast. Bedroom was well equipped, clean and tidy with good view across the estuary.

Cons:

The room cost was pricey. You are paying for the location. I would have been happy if paying 10-20% less. Staff could have been more attentive but always very friendly.

Lovely hotel in great location.
Pros:

Some rooms have superb views over the tidal estuary.

Cons:

Not a dislike but a note for EV drivers; Although the hotel has a charging point it, it only has 13A 3 pin or 16A CEE Commando sockets so you'll need your granny charger. Bulk charging points in the public car park just 50yds away

Pros:

The breakfast was excellent

Cons:

The room was shabby. If this was a hostel for 50 quid a night then OK but it cost £160 or more. The room was in serious need of redecorating.
