Please note that the hotel is located on a pedestrian street and the car parking is 492 feet from the hotel, by foot, next to the Guimarães City Hall, in Rua do Condestável Nuno Álvares Pereira, a dead-end street parallel to the City Hall of Guimarães. Please inform security that you are accommodated at the Hotel da Oliveira.
Please note that parking costs 5 EUR per stay and payment is made at check-out.

Great location, walkable to the lovely, rich history of Guimaraes. Hotel is beautifully decorated and the room was spacious.
For Breakfast: we would appreciate natural yogurt without sugar, more selection of fruits and nuts and a larger omlette. Food was very good and beautifully presented, but could be a bit more generous with their proportions.
Room was very stuffy., we tried the a/c but it didn't cool off the space. When we checked out we were told we needed to let the front desk know to switch the unit from heat to a/c. There should be a note in the room to indicate this or let guests know during the check-in process.
Perfect location in historic center. Welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent kitchen.

The property is in an excellent location on the pedestrian-only main square of the old town. Also, the restaurant in the hotel, Hool, has an excellent chef, with wonderful cuisine and superb service.
It is inaccessible by automobile, so it is difficult to locate and you are forced to haul your own luggage from the designated street parking to the hotel (without any assistance from the staff). So, we had mixed feelings about it.
