Royal Hotel Elgin Holiday
Pros:

Lovely big spacious room. Within walking distance to town etc. Bus from outside takes you by coach to Inverness. Breakfast was nice enough but found it strange that Restaurant was closed for evening meal at weekend. No bar? Or didn't see one.

Cons:

Didn't like that we were on third floor with no lift. As I'd just had a knee replacement it was a pain. Very steep stairs and narrow going up top set of stairs. Didn't have the option of selecting lower floor when we booked, maybe something Booking.com could give you a choice. There was a elderly 84 year old man up on the same floor as up. The Hotal was full so couldn't get a room change. Would have preferred toast, tea, milk etc to be brought to the table as it was a bit of a faff getting cups, plates, milk, making tea and making toast etc. It was busy so hanging about waiting on toaster.

Was shops very close room was massive bed was comfy shower was great good transport for us in the morning

Cons:

No tatty scone on a full Scottish breakfast but other than that was good WiFi and TV didn't work very well and when staff were asked to help were slightly unhappy to offer assistance so just watched normal TV in the end
