Just lovely, quaint, the view was incredible, we were so relaxed and happy and couldn't recommend it more
It was lovely.
Parking access was good. Electric Car chargers available onsite if needed. Lots of space inside and outside the hotel, it felt very relaxed and airy. Used the Spa and Outside swimming pool which was a great feature of the Hotel. Coastal path walk available at the rear of the Hotel, so we went down to the beach and explored the area from there. Close to Charles Town, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Mevagissey, so lots to see and do in a few days, it was great.
I guess the Pool area could do with a bit of a revamp, but it was fully functional and was great in the hot weather when we were there, so no big complaints, just a comment.
Excellent breakfast and dinner in the Taste Brasserie.
No proper Air-con but hey did try with supplying a fan and a very noisy air conditioning unit.
The receptionist was superb. Friendly, professional and helpful.
One room had air con. One did not. Not sure why and we didn’t opt for it in one but not the other. Not too much of a concern, but next time I’ll ask specifically for an air conditioned room.
Location to be able to walk into Charlestown was ideal.
Extremely hot with a towel rail that you couldn’t turn off. Shower was basic.
Spa needs updating as tiles loose and dated.
Housekeeping staff need to knock and wait for an answer before coming into a room, or be informed of who is leaving on that day so not to come in to ask about refreshing bits when due to check out in 40 minutes.
A large established English estate kept in very good order and spotless.
All rooms should have good quality air con. Most rooms at the hotel have none.
Excellent all round
Nothing
I love the location. The food is excellent, and all the staff friendly and helpful.
My room was very small - hard to move around and do the things I needed to do.
The staff were very friendly, I was unexpectedly upgraded and I had air con in the room - really welcome in 30 degs!
Price of rooms
Beautiful grounds and location
Very small room with small bed
Great location, beautiful gardens and outside space. Comfy bed. Some staff were lovely.
Tired facilities, room was dated and although clean it was not worth the price I paid.
I wasn’t allowed to have my kids join me in the morning for a swim which was a real shame.
Golf course and location
No dancing only a guy playing a piano which was very nice
I've been before and it's a beautiful hotel
Unfortunately I was there on a busy weekend. I had a sea view room but there were chairs on the lawn and people could see up into my room so I couldn't sit and take advantage of the view. There was a singer right below my window which I found to be quite loud. I was just hoping for a nice relaxed night away like last time but I struggled even to find a seat outside. I didn't end up staying the night and drove back home
