Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
Pros:

Attended my sisters wedding it was a great venue

Cons:

Communication could have been better between reception and wedding coordinator as bride and groom couldnt eat breakfast with us due to them having dogs. We could have all eaten breakfast together if a table had been set up in the dog friendly area.

We came to stay on a very hot day and the hotel was extremely warm. The room was stifling. The staff had made very little effort to try and make the room cooler. They had put a small fan in the corner of the room which was just fanning hot air around the room. We couldn’t open the window properly. I felt that the hotel could’ve have considered the heat and put ice in our room, supplied cool drinks - anything to ensure the room was comfortable. But nothing and zero recognition from staff when we raised the issue with them.

Nice overnight break
Pros:

Location, gardens were beautiful, hotel top quality.

Cons:

Lighting in restaurant was appalling. So dark I couldn't read the menu, they refused to turn the lights on, and I had to insist !

I loved the location, the staff were all friendly, the hotel grounds were beautiful and everything was lovely.

Cons:

The spa. It was pretty, but not very clean in the spa itself. Everything else was beautiful.

Ridiculous price hike with no extras.
Cons:

Room and tiny bed (standard double). No aircon and more fans should (more than one small one) had been provided. Horrendous inflated price due to local events. For the ridiculous hike in cost, portable aircon units should had been available at the least. If you are going to rip people off like ourselves who took the cost on the chin due to the concert, then at least go the extra mile to make things more comfortable for such guests during a heatwave!!

Door from room to outdoor seating area. Good bar and resturant. Food was lovely. Spa was nice but small.

Really friendly stay and very comfortable rooms.
Pros:

Very warm and friendly welcome. Fantastic location in town.

Cons:

The cooked breakfast was average I’m sad to say. Too
Much like Premier inn. Expected better as my evening meal was very good.
