Staff were nice and good location
The room was dirty and bathroom facilities were decrepit
The spa area is truly relaxing. The restaurant conservatory setting was amazing for a delicious evening meal and wine.
Hot rooms even when it was only 12* outside, but a small fan is provided.
Location was good fairly quiet nice staff
Expensive for a fairly basic room
It was lovely place staff friendly and spacious
Tv didn’t work and toilet didn’t work at times
Great location, clean, nice staff, comfortable beds, spa
Breakfast is served from 08.00am at weekends which means if you want an early start to your activities in and around LLangollen ( which is usually the case for our activities ) then you sadly have to eat elsewhere, in the week breakfast is served earlier
NICE ROOM/BREAKFAST GOOD
The location was stunning
Nothing
Location & staff
Breakfast was not included neither was use of spa facilities which were not the best ,
So a further £50 paid on top,
Breakfast rating 5/10
great location
evening meal was excellent
paying an additional charge to use the spa
breakfast additional coast and basic
Great location, very clean and ample car parking
No air con in the room. The fan provided was inadequate
The area, the views, the landscaping outside is spectacular 👌 the room was lovely and clean, nice selection of beers in the bar. Especially liked the Wrexham larger. That was new for me.
Clutching at staws to find any flaws, a couple of small niggles that would of made my stay perfect.
Breakfast wasn't open until 8 and I had to leave before then for my days plans, a quick coffee and a pastry before leaving would have been nice.
The room was so large that the TV was so far away, I had to actually get out of bed for the TV remote to work as I was too far away (not a bad problem to have right haha)
The spa could do with the windows cleaning, and the steam room didnt seem to be working when I tried to use it.
Excellent service by the staff

Pretty hotel in an excellent location.
The bed was comfortable
Unfortunately my experience was not good, although friends who were also staying had a better experience. My room was dark (not much light but also dark decor) and the view was of a wall and roof. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly, I did ask for that to be rectified but the toilet was still badly stained and the wash basin had grey scratches. I also noticed cup rings on the bedside table. All these might have been bearable in a mid range guest house but not for a place charging over £200 per night. There was no light near the bedroom mirror so it was not really useful for hair and makeup.
The tea and coffee selection was very basic. There was no way to get a late drink (11 pm) so I would have like a hot chocolate but there were no sachets, though my friends had some in their room.
However the bed was comfortable, the towels were good and the shower was ok.
Breakfast was ok, the buffet part was again very basic, so i had the 'full Welsh ' but there was nothing different from a full English except maybe some of the ingredients may have been sourced in Wales (hopefully?) However it was good value for money.
As a final blow i accidentally left my phone charger and plug in the room but it was not handed in by cleaning staff. A salutory tale.
As i say, i hope my experience was not typical but i dont think the rooms and quality match the high prices.
