Excellent location for exploring Hongdae.
Pros:

The room was very nice although the view was of rooftops which was not the nicest view. But then we were out most of the time so that was not a real problem. The location was really good, could not have been better if you want to really get a sense of Hongdae. The breakfast area was quite dark so we decided to breakfast elsewhere. Nice staff etc but there are so many options in the neighborhood, I might suggest stepping out instead.

Cons:

Nothing bad. We very much enjoyed our stay. The roof top bar had been quite promoted but it was not all that comfortable mostly because of the smokers so that is not really a hotel issue. We had hoped for more from that location as a "perch" for a quiet nightcap with a view but when we were there, it was not all that great - huge TV with flashing bright content, and some very loud heavy smokers on the two evening we tried to spend time there. Again, this is all about timing not about the hotel.
