Fine and clean!
Pros:

Room was fine. Lovely and quiet. View of the carpark, rather than the sea but it was quiet, so no problem. Room was an ok size. Shower didn't have a lot of pressure, but not a big deal. Everything was clean. Didn't sleep well as my pillow was rock hard (no spares in the room..and didn't know it was so bad until I got into bed..). Bed itself was comfy (twin beds) and there was blackout curtains which is a win. Coffee machine in the room and two pods for it. The lift is a pain as if someone doesn't close the metal gate when they get out, it doesn't move. Not brilliant when there are guests of all ages and abilities. Staff were friendly and the lovely bar staff, Eva, put a smile on our faces. If ore the bad reviews. I was concerned as when Britania take over, they often run them into the grounf.. but this is fine!

Pros:

Booked this hotel for excellent sea view and proximity to open air theatre.
Staff were helpful and cheerful.
Had to park on street but permit provided by hotel.

Cons:

Felt like you were walking uphill to the wardrobe. (Uneven floor)

Nice hotel, Great views.
Pros:

Great location. I booked 2 twin rooms for my wife, daughter and a family friend as they were going to see the Teddy Swims concert. The hotel was only a short walk away from the venue so the location was ideal. We reserved a car parking space at the hotel for only £8 for the night . Nice rooms and great views. Breakfast was really nice.

Cons:

The beds were a little bit uncomfortable but that's just our opinion There was no air conditioning and the windows did not open, so the room was very warm.

Happy Guests
Pros:

Such a quiet hotel, friendly staff, the place is light and airy, the food is affordable, the rooms are spacious, clean and well kept.

Cons:

The only problem was with the shower, it had weak pressure and went to extremes of hot or cold. No other complaints.

Perfect for the open air theatre.
Pros:

The best feature of the Clifton is it’s excellent staff. From initial phone call to booking out, every interaction was pleasant and helpful. Thank you.

Cons:

I’d like slightly more expensive mattresses, bed wasn’t uncomfortable, but a bit of luxury would make it better.

Very poor value for money, won't be going again
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Double room instead of twin
Low dirty ceilings (unlike website pictures)
Seaview if you stand on tiptoes, window was dirty so difficult to see out of
One of the mattresses was in bad shape, could feel springs.
One pillow each
Breakfast was poor, heated tinned tomatoes, mushrooms looked anaemic
Outside of building was run down
No warning that car park needed to be booked in advance.
Staff accepted that it was poor and gave no explanation or apology.
Worst of all was the price! £292 for one night. Absolutely disgusting.

Great for an overnight stay and excellent for the Open Air Concert venue
Pros:

Location is excellent. Just a short walk to the Open Air Concert venue. Sea & castle view was amazing. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Bedroom windows were really dirty, the sea view would have been a bit clearer if cleaner. We found the room was lovely but the double bed was really uncomfortable, felt like the springs were digging in us all night. Tea and coffee facilities were very good - but no biscuits which was disappointing.
