It was clean
Parking trouble
The staff were amazing and the food was excellent.

My stay was unfortunately affected by an unsatisfactory experience at reception. I arrived around 12:45 and approached the front desk, where two young receptionists were present. The one who assisted me (named: Xxxxssa) gave me a noticeably cold and unwelcoming reception, especially after seeing that my reservation was made through Booking.com. Her manner with other guests was clearly different.
She informed me that check in was at 14:00 — which is correct — and asked me to wait in the seating area until then. However, despite the lobby being quiet and not busy at all, she did not call us for check in even after 14:08. I had to return to the desk with my wife to ask again before she finally started the process.
During check in, she explained the hotel facilities in an exaggerated, almost patronising way, as if it were my first time ever staying in a hotel. This was uncomfortable and inappropriate, and I had to interrupt her to clarify that I am a frequent traveller.
When I reached my room (404), I found the desk surface unclean, with visible cup marks. After I called reception to report it, the same receptionist disappeared entirely from the situation. Another receptionist — who had a very good attitude — came to the room with the housekeeping supervisor, cleaned the area, apologised, and even offered to change the room. I initially declined due to tiredness, but later she changed the room because the bathroom lock was not working.
Despite the generally warm and professional attitude from the rest of the staff throughout the hotel, the very first interaction left a strong negative impression. First impressions matter, and this experience makes me hesitate before booking again with this “Holiday Inn” chain.
The location is noisy and scarry but otherwise was nice to be there.

Parked in a disabled bay with our blue badge. Staff helpful in the restaurant with getting a table for us and also bringing cups of tea and milk to the table.

Small double bed
I was pleasantly surprised by the space and modernity of our room and the comfort of the large size bed. The breakfast was excellent and well laid out. Will stay there again if in the area.
Lawrence and Francisco were jjst but super excellent. Very helpful attentive listernrs. Responded to all quiries and check if l was ok and settled in my room..
