Place needs a good revamp. Looking tired. No cupboard space or general storage space in the bedrooms. Bathrooms particularly showers need some attention. When its hot there are no fans or ceiling fans or aironditioners. Lack of hotel management around

We had an excellent stay with our dog! Lovely walking path below the hotel where we walked the dog as they are not sowed

Comfortable. The complimentary scones and tea in the afternoon was a great add on. We enjoyed it.

Cons:

I did not like the whole set up of the place. It took me back to the old South Africa before the democratic dispensation. I was unaware that this property is entirely saturated in South Africa's past. I suppose some people would feel very comfortable in such an environment. I will definitely not visit this property again.

Pros:

The building has a wonderful old-world atmosphere, and the rooms are unique and full of character. Secure parking is available.

The on-site restaurant, which serves both breakfast and dinner, is excellent, with a great team and delicious food. They were also very considerate of my gluten intolerance and went above and beyond to provide me with interesting, delicious gluten-free options.

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was comfortable, beautifully maintained and offered everything we needed, while the location was excellent and made it so easy to explore the area. And the food was excellent.

Staff at reception and restaurant owner made me feel unwelcome. It was like they were doing me a favour by providing a service I paid I for.

‘I work at Pezula in Knysna and am only here because they are short staffed’ is not an appropriate response to a guest query.
