Silver Creek Lodge

Like many accommodation places, the lighting was quite dull. Some ability to increase the lighting brightness more would be great.

Our room was absolutely disgusting. As soon as we got there we noticed all around the doors and handles were sticky and dirty. There was no end of build up and who knows what in the shower. Behind one of the beds was a bunch of chips and tissues. Horrible dust build up everywhere. They don't even mop the floors. We couldn't put anything in any of the drawers because they all were dirty and had crumbs in them.
I run a cleaning business and this type of cleaning in a hotel is absolutely unacceptable. We complained and all they did was send someone in with a spray bottle and a rag, which we were informed is how they "clean" everything.
Will not be staying here ever again, it was a highly disappointing experience.

The receptionist girl was very rude to talk to and when you greet her she doesn’t even respond.

The day we were leaving, in the morning, we could hear a person in the neighboring room speaking for quite a while.
There were many lights in the room but even with all on, the room was a bit dark. It gave it a great romantic mood but if you wanted more light, it wouldn't get bright enough for our taste.
Water pressure in the shower was OK but not strong enough (for our taste).

I don't care for swimming pools, but my family like them and were disappointed there wasn't one. They made use of the hot tub instead though. The bed pillows were rather large so it was hard to sleep on them in a way so as to not wake up with a cricked neck. I also found the bedding quite hot, so slept uncovered most of the night.

Room - there was no overhead lighting in the bedroom, so we had to rely on either natural lighting or the two small bedside lamps
Kitchen - it was nice, but cramped.
Staff - when I told the staff of the problem with the water in our kitchen (the water coming out of the tap was brown) they said they would talk to maintenance but didn't offer anything else. The water in our room was not drinkable.

king bed mattress needs to be changed to small and did not fit the frame keep hitting my shin when I needed to go around the foot of the bed and to be careful I didnt hit my head from the mantel of the fire place which was close to the bottom of the bed. the sheet would not stay under the mattress very winkled.
to open the window the pipe from the floor air conditioner keep falling into the room.
the taps in the bath tub when turned on the water pour from the hole in the celing .the shower taps on the wall were fine.

The way to fill up the tub is so weird it dissuaded my husband from deciding to take a bath. Would have rather been able to open the window than had an ac unit there. The mini fridge did not have a freezer compartment :/

Property was really amazing to stay. But the receptionist who attended us. She trested us really bad, Her body language was seems to be aggresive to us. When we asked her to open the gate, She made an irritated face to us. And when we asked her for checkin, She said that she is doing something and is not free right now to make us checked in. Because of her we had drop our dinner plan. all our excitment to stay their got spoiled only because of her. Otherwise, everything was great their.

This is minor, but there was no coffee whitener, but there was about 30 packets of sugar in the drawer with the coffee packets.

The bathtub in our room was very high sided and a bit of a challenge to get into and out of. A hand bar on the wall would make it safer.

Walls of our room were very thin and the neighbours were up late playing drinking games. No one is at the front desk past 11
