The property was excellent, close to airport and eateries and shopping strip. The facilities in the room were great particularly the kitchen appliances and the heaters
The toilet exhaust had issues and it was smelling quite bad for couple of days and we had to get house keeping to spray air freshener.
Very well located, in the middle of town and nearby the major supermarkets, restaurants, right next to the pickup point for northern light tours and a short walk to the harbour for whale watching tours and saunas.
We got upgraded to a junior suite, which was very nice, we weren’t even told - just noticed when I walked into the room. The suite was very spacious, with plenty of storage space, a decent-sized kitchen, a nice sofa/seating area, and a small, tucked-away bedroom area.
The laundry machines (washers and separate dryers) in the basement were appreciated (though took a while to do our big load).
The room was cleaned every day, with alternating days of new towels and making the bed.
Good TV, lots of kitchen utensils to make your own food, nice sofa area. Good heating throughout. Hot bathroom and good hot water. Microwave/coffee maker/oven/stove all in the kitchen. You have to clean your own dishes.
The reception is separate from the entrance to the rooms/lift, and is open 7am-11pm with a friendly receptionist always there and free coffee/cookies at the counter.
The bed was cosy, though facing the main street and having some noise throughout the night; the bed was tucked into the corner, and was a regular double bed, so a bit tight for two people used to a bigger bed and no bedside table and awkward clambering in and out for the one in the corner.
Shower was a bit tiny and door banged into the toilet when opening, but that’s par for the course in the north.
Our sink was blocked and drained very slowly, but not a biggie.
Location was good, easy access to many places and with supermarket very close by. Although there was a hiccup during my stay, however, the staff upgrade my room, thank you very much. Free flow of tea and coffee. Kitchen was well equipped which make meal preparation easy.
The traffic is a little noisy even late night. Bed was extremely soft. Need to self service on towels, bed linen, etc. Shower was a bit too small and the glass door keep hitting toilet bowl, dangerous.

Enormous room, comfortable bed, amazing to have a kitchen included when travelling, location was perfect. Bonus to have complimentary coffee in the reception.

La lavastoviglie era out of service , lo spazio in bagno un po' limitato
Die Vorstellung, im Zimmer zu kochen, was leider nicht möglich war :-(
Die Lage war toll
Das EKELHOTEL ist total verschmutz und muffelig. Die Küchenzeile war nicht nutzbar! Backofen, Microwelle, Kühlschrank, Kaffeeautomat, alles total verschmutzt und fettig/schmierig. Im Wasserkocher löst sich sogar der inzwischen gelbliche Kunststoff ab! Selbst nach Putzversuchen war der Gestank so stark, sodass wir uns aus hygienischen Gründen dagegen entschieden haben. An der Zimmerdecke zwischen Küche und Bett ist ein ca. 1m großer gelber Fleck an der Decke (Vermeintliche Fett- und Kochrückstände) die vermutlich für diesen penetranten Gestank führen! Auch ein Zimmerwechsel hat leider keine hygienische Verbesserung gebracht :-( Flecken an der Wand, Haare/ Wollmäuse,... Kein Trockner wie beworben, Kabelfernsehen besteht aus ca. 15 regionalen Sendern, die restlichen funktionieren nicht! Die beworbenen Schallisolierung ist nicht vorhanden! Durch die undichten und alten Fenster hört man Tag wie Nacht jedes vorbeifahrende Auto, jeden Tritt oberdrüber ist hörbar! Steckdosen hängen aus der Wand, Licht im Bad geht gar nicht, Stehlampe defekt. Die Gardinen hängen herunter, haben Löcher und sind schmutzig. Vom Bad/ WC samt WC Bürste möchte ich gar nicht reden, natürlich ist der Brausekopf undicht. An den Möbeln sind einzelne Holzteile nicht mehr funktional, bzw ausgebrochen! Spiegel, Fenster, Kacheln im Bad, alles schmutzig und schmierig! Der Baustellenlärm im Haus ist hoch, ständiges Bohren, Hämmern, Flexen und Klopfen.
Leider tut das Hotel die Beschwerde mit meinem persönlichen Empfinden ab, daher schlage ich vor, macht euch selbst ein Bild, siehe Bilder!
Da wir uns den Urlaub nicht verderben wollten, haben wir das beste daraus gemacht! Schade, wohlfühlen im Urlaub ist anders :-(
P.S. Inzwischen hat sich das Hotel gemeldet und schiebt Mängel auf das Alter und den renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand! Frage mich, wie ich das bei der Buchung des Hotels bemerken hätte sollen.
